Looks delicious Dave. I love pasta. Italian food is a favourite. Xxxx💕💕💕💕
This is a quick and beautiful meal and having a few onion rings on a side plate just adds to it
Mmmm…….looks tasty. Xxx🤗💕
I know my foods 😂😂 and you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a wholesome tasty meal
Well give me pie and mash anyday of the week lol
Pie mash and mushy peas 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
No dave no mushy peas mate ime a cockney not a northerner jellies eels non brewed vinegar always non brewed daveNow thats you educated lol
I can't eat jellied eels buddy I have gut problems when I had them , went to a pie and mash place years ago when doing some work in Eltham buggered me up for a couple of weeks
did not realise I could do onion rings in microwave , thats another tip I have learn't today thanks.
What is the little container beside the onion rings, is that a dip of some kind?
Looks good enough to eat 🤣 bon appetite Dave
Oh it is portabello mushroom sliced and pan fried then added to the cream mmmmm
I love pasta but unfortunately not mushrooms
It's a shame but you could replace it with chicken
Or just a nice tomato sauce
Not tomato sauce because you have a cream sauce chicken or bacon chunks
Oh yes, chicken it is then.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 chicken is so universal 😁
It is. When my daughter was small she was a very fussy eater - we had chicken every day - beef chicken, lamb chicken and pork chicken. As long as she thought it was chicken she ate it!
😂😂😂😂😂 hey it didn't matter it worked fish finger flavoured chicken 😂😁
It did!
For every problem chicken comes to the rescue 😂😂😂
Indeed. We still eat a lot of chicken in various disguises!
😂😂😂 what caused the problem with meat did you ever find out
She has a rare genetic disorder which affects the bones of her jaw and cheeks, among other things. We only found this out because a speech therapist who had an interest in her disorder, arranged for her to have an x-ray with contrast on a Saturday when the x-ray department was closed. This showed deformity’s in her jaw, enlarged tonsils and the flap that covers your windpipe didn’t close properly when she ate. All these made eating difficult for her and she liked the easy to chewy food, like chicken. Many operations later, she now eats a wide range of foods.
That was good that you found out so quickly most of the time they just say oh it's just fussy eating and close the case brilliant that someone saw past that
It is and I don’t know where we’d be now if it wasn’t for the interested speech therapist.
She was definitely on the ball 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
She was, and it was wonderful to feel as if someone was listening to me. I’d known for a long time that something was wrong with her eating. We were always seeing different doctors related to her genetic disorder, and I mentioned the eating issues to all of them.
Well I'm really happy you have it all under control 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Haha this us what I say to my 4 yr old it's just chicken... 😂🤣 but if theres a mark on there or herb in site omg the drama yet when he was younger loved curries, Caribbean, roasts the lot. Menace.
From my experience of three fussy eaters is that they grow out of it - although strangely none of them like tomatoes
We had woolly pig, aka lamb.😂
Like that one 😂😂😂😂😂
It was ok until we met an actual woolly pig!!!
Yes their an actual breed 😂😂😂😂
I love mushrooms, often have mushrooms on toast as a supper. I have problems with parmesan cheese, I love the taste of it, but hate the smell. In restaurants, when they want to grate it on top of the hot meal, I have to refuse, wish they would add it and stir it in, just before they serve the meal up.
The good thing here is you can get pre grated parmesan or use grated cheese of your choice stilton works well with pasta
I had been looking at cheaper meals for the winter, and suddenly remembered a chicken stew/soup I used to do. I now have to leave most of the vegetables out, but checked my cupboards and discovered I had onion flakes, garlic granules, ginger but have had to ask my supermarket delivery for turmeric (I wonder when I ran out of that). Reminds me of my husband, when he did the shopping. I had asked for a jar of mixed spices for sausage stews, he came home, very pleased with himself, with a small jar of mixed spice, yup, but, was the one for cakes. Gave in and did what he liked the most, which was adding a tin of baked beans. Never did tell him, about 5 years later I found it lurking at the back of the cupboard.
I love cupboard rambling you find all sorts of things that you forgot existed. I've decided to Cook sausage liver and onion casserole on Saturday
Mmmmmmm
Another underated meal 😂😂 my gran used to cook sausage liver and onion casserole every Wednesday I loved it.
Yum
A lot of people actually like pasta a few years ago you struggled to get folks to eat it unless it was in spaghetti Bolognese 😂😂😂
My 2 will turn into a pasta the amount they eat! The 4 yr old pasta an chicken, pasta an bacon, rice an chicken or rice an tempura fish. The 20 yr old pesto an veg pasta 😆
It's that Jamie Oliver he's made everyone pasta crazy 🤣🤣🤣
Yum yum 😋 that looks really tasty! Other than I’d do a swap with the mushrooms 🍄 but it looks really good!
One thing that is strange how many people don't like mushroom when they are so versatile. I love portabello mushroom whole roasted in the oven with a huge piece of garlic butter on the cup part then just a little grated cheese on top mmmm
Oh I love mushrooms granted they don't look anything special but yum.
Oh YUM!!!
Looks delicious hope you enjoyed it Dave. Have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxxx 🌻🌻💖
I always enjoy food I won't ever cook what I won't eat which is only one thing !! Tripe
Ewww yuk that's just brought back a memory of my grandma trying to trick me into eating tripe when a kid yuk. 👀 same with liver an kidneys.
Love liver and kidneys but tripe no way my gran used to eat it with pepper and vinegar I used to be out the door and gone 🤣🤣🤣
🤣😂😆
Tripe! It's like eating parts of a Lego set. Tripe and semolina, which my mother called snotty globules, are two foods I never eat. I'd rather eat cardboard.
Totally agree with you and microwave meals the same more goodness in the box than the food
Come on! Lego is hard and sharp while tripe is soft. You may not like it but its hardly lego 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yep I was overkill, I remember it as plastic. Tasteless. Perhaps my mother never cooked it enough. Not lego.
😂😂😂😂
I will have to have counselling now, for reading how much 02Trees loves tripe. The good news is I am waiting for a delivery of Jerk chicken, rice and peas, and fried dumplings, from a local Jamaican restaurant.
And a box of Lego aswell I hope 😂😂😂
Davey listen Mate Eltham no wonder Gotta go to the East End for proper pie and mash Kellys Roman Rd
Where ever I go regardless of country or county I have food I have not tried I'm a real foodie and living in Greece for the past nearly six years I have tried absolutely everything 🤣🤣 jellied eels is something you can't get here and I've tasted some right rare stuff over the years including hedgehog
Well Davey mate i am just a great fan of english food
Ive tried Haggis did not like it at all
Welsh Lamb is v nice Scottish a bit of aberdeen angus
My mums fault but whatever you fancy does you good lol
That's what they say . I tried witchity grubs mealworms fried locust gator and ostrich but I will never eat tripe just thinking about it turns my stomach 🤮🤮😹😂😂😂😂😂
We agree at last Dave Tripe and onions uck
My gran used to eat it with vinegar and pepper I was out the door and running for the hills 🤣🤣
lol sounds right lol
It's worse when you know where it actually comes from and how they treat it 🤮🤮🤮 haggis I love but only from a proper Scottish butcher
I will admit i get my meat from Donald Russel
I love my butcher no where here sells or gives away kidneys their classed as dirty meat but he gives me all the kidneys I want and the meat is that fresh it's alive when it arrives 😂😂😂
i like lambs kidneys bacon and tomatoes toast for breakfast
It's nice isn't it pigs kidneys are a bit strong
Yeah i agree lambs hearts are nice as well
And lungs bit ironic in my case 😂😂
And a duck egg to complete the breakfast
Never in my life have i had a duck egg
You have not lived until you have had a duck egg and goose egg big yolks small white and rich mmmmmm
I would be willing to try most things. Just a few I won’t due to danger. Raw foods. Snail etc. However I’ve never been picky. My Mom cooked venison, elk, pheasant, beef heart and tongues. Gizzards. Us kids loved it all. We never questioned such things as my father would not put up with any misbehaving.
I never liked mushrooms as a kid, but love em now. This was very handy for my dad, because me and my mate Pauline would hunt the spacious grounds of our school for mushrooms and take them home to our dads. Most of our class mate thought we would poison them, but we knew better. My mum would never touch them. She was very suspicious of anything which didn't come from the greengrocer's. 😂😂😂😋😋😋xxxx
🤣🤣🤣 get yourself a couple of portabello mushroom destalk and peel them put a chunk of garlic butter in the cup of each pop in the oven for ten minutes then turn oven off sprinkle some grated cheese in the cups and leave in oven until melted mmmm you won't be disappointed
Thanks. (Burp.)
Just love mushrooms Dave (all types) and this looks delicious. When they have a glut in the supermarket and selling off cheap I make a mushroom soup and freeze in portions x
So versatile and healthy
Very nice. A bit of garlic in it for flavour?
Hi Davey boy 1963, Yum yum, been managing with makeshift meals as Kitchen was being decorated plus the small bedroom , should be back to normal soon. Haven't got any ready meals in but avoid them as they are often laden with salt. Enjoy your meals and a beer to wash it down I hope. 😊
Hope you get your kitchen back soon I would be walking the walls I can't be without it 😹😹😹 no beer but obviously my favourite tipple 😂😂😂 ready meal eat the box it's got more goodness in it 😂😂😂👍🏼
Very yummy 🐞
😂😂😂 cardboard in your diet is brilliant roughage 😂😂😂😂😂
Looks wonderful Davey! Just love mushrooms and as an added bonus, they're good for you too! I use the same logic with chocolate and wine, I mean grapes!😃
Think you were right first time 😂😂🤣🤣
Mmmmmmm yummy x
So you cook?? I lived alone so many years I couldn't see washing pots, pans, and dishes LOL. When my workload was cut, I decided to cook from scratch. The raccoons had a good meal.
Oh yes I cook it's my therapy when I have a problem I cook . No raccoons needed 😂🤣😂
