Thanks for info , I don't mind getting it monthly as long as we get something as many of us only get £150 disability payment while others are getting lots of money who are on tax credits ect. Its the disabled who often need more heat in the winter and housebound. Appreciate the info.

Its woth a try if you want to try and see if you can thats what they are there for to help people who are disabled or got bad health.

Over the years Pipswhips, CaB have dealt with a few matters for me including being sacked from employment due to disability dispute. now I am retired it still causes dispute. My local hospital thinks I have no current health matters , a good solicitor might dispute that and the amount I receive but I am quite happy to stick with my lot. Plus the regulation that says if disabled in the past which prevented you from working you can still be classed as disabled, plus the rule that says the sum total of your health issues must be viewed in respect of the impact each one has on your ability to carry out normal everyday tasks. There is also a word that says reasonable. I e is it reasonable to expect a person with such a disability to carry out certain daily tasks in a normal manner. But thank you for your thoughts, I agree my care componant should be the higher one. Enjoy the rest of your day xx

Hello Pips whips , I am always hearing stories like this as well as going through the system myself , what chance have we got if they are getting things wrong like a knee instead of ankle. I went to physio and he thought it was my back. An Xray on my foot supposedly showed a broken tip of toe when in fact I had broken the fifth metatartsel in my foot what they call a ballet dancers break. And the double vision I was referred for recently was fobbed off as no eye problem , but I do have an eye problem in one eye, sadly I do not envy you the future on benefits but its easier than trying to work for a living, if you can cope with the medical problems. Hope your freind gets things sorted especially as they have MS not exactly a minor matter is it?

Just got my appointment through for xray. It's not a laser guided injection like they told me its a ultra sound guided injection instead.

Thats why i try to keep to the same gp and asta nurse so i get the constant care without constantly repeating myself.

My friend is now a pensioner lucky for her she got her works pension as well as her state pension.

Just waiting now for the forms for the warm home benefit form to come through so £140 unless it's gone upwhich goes on your electric around about feb bill.

If you can i would advise everyone to claim it. 1st part you have to be on uc or income related esa some of benefits. Also either housing benefit or council tax benefit.

The second part any other benefit like pips and other disable benefits.

When i get the form through i' ll update info as its been over a year since last claim.

So ring up you electric company and ask about the warm home benefit you should get a form sent and easy to do its a tick box form.

Yes it is better if you can keep to the same doctors so you don't have to keep repeating yourself. Our practice is a training practice for the uni so Drs constantly changing as they do at the hospital also. Forgot it was getting round to warm home application time, if you are on their books they should let you know when to fill in form. But I will look into it this week as each company has their own way of working. Bye for now

Ps checked the warmhome discount for EON they have not started doing the forms yet, but might be because the government are talking about putting it up and might change the regulations for receiving it you never know. Watch this space as they say.

Get your optician to refer you back to the eye clinic. They can do that when i had problems with left eye they rang the eye clinic and weng straight up it was a emergency appointment which keep free for ghings like that.
