just to say am not allowed to be out in the sunshine in any circumstances, as am not allowed 🚫 to bath, shower, use sauna , hot tub or jacuzzi. Have to keep the top half of my body as cool as possible. All because of the drug that's keeping me alive. Fentinal.

Fentinal is u.s.a.number one addict klller, silly people mix it with other drugs.

That sounds like a really testing regime to keep to. Glad it hasn't killed your sense of humour.

It will never do that.

Sounds grim. Why can't you get wet?

Wonderboy6 profile image
Wonderboy6 in reply toKarenanne61

Getting wet is not the problem but the heat musnt be near the heart ,there's a chance with fentinal and heat giving me a full on massive heart attack..

Oooh I did not know that! Your life must have been impossible for the last few days. How on earth did you manage?

You have 3 flaps on your heart ❤️ I was born with 2, so,2 valves doing the work of 3.i now have a mechanical valve, helping the blood flow not to come back to the heart.to stop clots hitting the valve, am on warfarin. Bet your sorry 😞 you asked now, hahaha.

Dear Wonderboy, that sounds really hard! I’m sorry you have such a lot to cope with! Please don’t apologise for saying how things are though! Bless you!

Hey, while it's a bummer, I can still enjoy 😉 😊 my life, laughter cures a lot of my ills, I like to think so, anyway.

Laughter definitely helps! I also generally see the funny side of most things…it just helps get through doesn’t it!

Have a dry slightly sarcastic but never rude sense of humour 😀 I just like 👍 to have a good laugh 😃.

I'm not sorry I asked, if we don't question we won't learn. 🙂 it's amazing the advances in medical science.

If wasn't for those advances, don't know were I would be. To think I would have a tiny piece of metal inside my heart ❤️ 💙 💜 stopping blood from coming back to it is barely believable. And that was 23 years ago.

Not able to look left, right, up or. Can only look straight ahead as my neck is set into one position. Cannot use a bed as Cannot put my head on a pillow, I sleep with sitting up in my electric chair, better to breathe.

Xmas 98 had aortic removed as was 87 per cent blocked. I was 43 years old.the heart does not like to be touched, so, unknown to me, it kicked off something called ankyloser spondylitis, being the fusing together of the entire vertebrae, it took 15 years before the doctors found it. Totally unstoppable. The pain started to get unbearable, so,went onto fentinal patches, am assured it is 100 times stronger than heroin. Even now, some of the pain was removed, at times,am in pure agony.
