Plenty of ancient history plus ww2 history watch escape to Athena was filmed here in Rhodes old town plus the spa

Well it was filmed at the spa in lindos other side of the island the monastery in lindos and old town and it's still got beautiful pebble stone walk ways

It was one of my favourite films and knowing that the film was shot here I tracked down all the places it was filmed , Anthony Quinn had his own little villa here at ladeka bay known then as Anthony Quinn bay . 😂😂😂 I swam their it's beautiful

Beautiful- love the colour of the sea against the old stone wall. Is that some kind of fortress or the wall around the old town?

Old town was the original castle so it's the wall round the whole of the town , would take two days to explore the battlements 😂

Better with no tourist in the way . I enjoy the quiet and you can get inside the small church s scattered up the side streets they are beautiful
