Hello soul-123, 🙂

I have a feeling he is not too far away and reading all our posts with his usual cheekiness. xx 😉

Oh yes. I keep thinking I must tell him about…… Ask him about….And then I realise that I can’t.

Haunted by the fact that he seemed to be alone when he died.

Perhaps not Kate. Perhaps he was thinking of the gang here, thinking of all our names, and riding on a chariot into the sunset. X

I do think the group meant a lot to him. I hope he was aware of our love for him in those last days.Xx

Yes soul-123 Skis passing away is a sad loss to us. His humour. Knowledge. Directness when needed. I feel sad he was probably alone when he died - apart from faithful scruffy. X

Yes Soul, I dearly miss our Skis, he was a real character and like Katinka I keep thinking to message him about this or that. I spent a couple of hours going through the private messages I had from him in tears which I suppose helps with the grieving. He was a good social friend to a few of us on here and gave alot of support. I can imagine him up there looking down on us trying to give us a nudge, with a gin and tonic in hand x

I haven't been on here for sometime, and I am really shocked to know that our Skis has gone, just seemed he would always be here with his font of knowledge, He will be with our other great friends, Rest in peace Skis.

I always felt sad that he was too far away geographically for me to offer him any practical support. It would have been great to be able to give him a bit of help when he was struggling or just sit with him to have a cuppa - or something stronger!

He was a highly valued member of this group as is evident from all the posts there have been about him since he passed. I, for one, will always remember him for his cheeky wit and also his sincerity.

I, miss him greatly.

xx Moy

A lot of names have gone from the forum since I joined. Many have died, others have left for various reasons. It is always sad when a member dies but that is bound to happen when the forum is for those with chronic lung disease. I am privileged to have known some of those no longer with us. It is a pleasure to know some of our members who are carers for partners with lung disease to see their perspective too.

I quite agree. It covers a wide range of lung diseases now and I’m pleased to see it. I’ve been on here now for about eleven or twelve years. Firstly for my Husband who had IPF and now for me with lung disease. I’ve got mild asthma and Pulmonary Fibrosis.

You have been a member longer than me Mavery so will have seen more names lost. I'm sorry to learn that your husband had and you have lung disease. That's doubley hard. Best wishes to you x
