Skis, Scruffs and a Christmas Rhino 🦏

Has anyone heard of a short Australian film called Rhino Christmas? I have searched everywhere online that I can think of but I’m not getting any results at all. I used to have it on video and watched it every Christmas for years. It’s about the Christmas Rhino who parties and dances the lambada and drinks too much. He's seriously peeved by Santa getting all the attention. He’s summoned by a girl called Mott by saying shooby dooby doowah. Trace and Raoul who are working at the municipal dump on Christmas Day make artificial snow in her front yard from the junk from the dump. Raoul hates instead coffee (his words) and Mott invites them into the family home to make proper ground coffee. Her parents, who she calls by their first names, are asleep in bed stoned or something. It’s a very cynical take on Christmas. But I can not find any evidence of this film existing! Surely it’s not just all in my mind?! And if it is, well I’m going to make this film because it is brilliant and I’ll be rich 😁 It’s a masterclass in cynicism. I remember telling Skis about it once, knowing that he’d be as appreciative of it as I am. But I can’t find it or anything about it. Someone out there must surely have heard of Rhino Christmas? 🤔

As I haven’t got a picture of the Christmas Rhino, here’s a photo of my sheep. It actually stopped raining for a while. When I was walking back from work tonight a duck swam past me. Really.

It is pretty mad, but probably my favourite Christmas film. 🦏 The photo of my sheep was taken a day or so ago, this is them seeing me off to work. 😊

The duck story really is true 🦆 There has been a lot of rain recently and much of the land has standing water. I was walking back in the dark with my torch and I could see this object in the dark and as I approached a duck swam past. I was somewhat surprised and said Oh hello. I suppose had it been a rhino it would have been more surprising 😊

I don't have any recollection of the rhino film sorry. However, as I love animals of all kinds I must thank you for showing us a photo of your sheep. I live in a rural area too so fortunately I regularly see cows, sheep and horses. Your sheep look very clean in spite of the dreadful weather we are experiencing in the UK. Regards to you all. Chrys

Oh my! Id love to see this "elusive " Rhino Christmas film after reading your brief account of the plot, i can't say I've ever heard of it (but that means absolutely nothing!).

Lets see if any members can do a bit of investigation and FIND THE CHRISTMAS RHINO FILM. How's about a competition and the finder/winner will have golden stars sent by other members as a prize? What do you think HH or am i going OTT as per usual?
