hi, everyone pneumococcal

hi evryone could i ask .as anyone had the pneumococcal vaccine as i recived a text form my gp . i had covid end of november and i was very breathless for 3months and iv had palapatations . they can come on for a hour or they can come on for 7 hours im waiting on a heart monitor to see what is happering . my concern is with me having palaptations can the pneumococcal vaccine be safe for me with this palpatatins as iv got to decide if to have it for next week.

I had it in November with no side effects other than a sore arm. Maybe see if you can discuss your concerns with the gp to set your mind at rest. Good luck 😊

I had one about 15 years ago and another last autumn at the recommendation of my respiratory consultant because they have updated the number of strains included. I have dilated cardiomyopathy and AF . No effects except peace of mind that I am protected against many strains of pneumococcus.

I had mine 9 years ago, slightly sore arm only and best thing, not had pneumonia since.Good luck. P

I had it at the same time as my flu jab (one in each arm) in 2020. No problems. Check with your GP to put your mind at rest.

Try not to worry, I’ve had it after 2 nasty bouts of pneumonia and sepsis, very lucky to still be here, never had pneumonia or sepsis since, fingers crossed.
