Covid & copd

Well my husband's worsening breathing over the last few days maybe wasn't the air quality after all. He got a definite positive lateral flow test this morning & I got a faint line. We've both since been for PCR tests.

My question is though, has anyone completed a priority test to be eligible for new treatment? He's done the test & sent it off. Just wondering what might happen next.

I can't believe it....I've spent 2 years trying not to infect him &, judging by the lines on the lateral flow tests, it looks like he got it first!!

What a shame Littleeak, I hope you both make a good recovery and get well soon. You should be contacted soon I hope but Pete has never had to send his priority test off as yet so I’m unsure what will happen. Wishing you both well. Xxx

Best wishes. I hope your husband isn't too badly affected and that you stay clear. I would think he is eligible for the new drug, but I'm not really certain.

Update. Husband's just received a confirmation of being positive & is now awaiting a phone call re treatment. Nothing for me as yet

Sorry to hear about your infection. It does seem to be rife, especially among my age group. I started with a cold around 10 March. Didn’t think anything of it, but did a LFT as I was due at the village chapel the next day, and was gobsmacked to be positive. After a week we both tested negative, my husband was negative all the way through. But I have no idea where it came from. It has left me distinctly washed out, with worsened symptoms. But now starting to get back to my ‘normal’. It did not seem to go to my lungs. Good luck. Kx

I'm sure there'll be more cases come April. The man who did our PCR tests was saying that as from the end of next week PCRs will cost £40 each unless you are due a hospital procedure! And with lateral flow tests no longer free, people won't bother testing at all.....

Even worse is they are saying its not a legal requirement to isolate, sadly alot of people are not bothering, no wonder its on the increase. I do hope you both get better soon will no lasting affects x
