Hello Stewart, 👋😊

I have read you work with people in therapeutic gardens. I have never even thought about that concept before. What a wonderful thing to do, I applaud you👏. You have done so well considering you have had COPD for many years now. That looks like a lovely peaceful spot. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I worked with dementia patients in care for 14 years and can honestly say that being outdoors amongst nature is as good ( and very often better) than any medicine when it comes to their mental wellbeing . One of the best things I used to do was organising canal boat trips on specially adapted boats for 8 residents at a time , they absolutely loved those trips but even sitting in the garden lifted and calmed their spirit . That’s a great area you have there, I’m sure there are those who enjoy a bit of gardening and many more who benefit from just being outdoors and watching the activity. 😊

The whole garden is amazing and it's kept me going with my breathing problems but the winter just batters my chest but still love the work

I had to give up work when it became too much along with caring for my husband and three years on I still miss it 😢 I started doing 5 days then dropped to four and finally three before leaving However I know I’d be welcome to go in and do some volunteering whenever it suits me ( although it’s not been possible due to the pandemic 🙄) and I hope the same applies to you when you decide your present situations no longer sustainable 😊
