While emptying my kitchen bin yesterday, I noticed spring was here early , buds on the trees ,cyclamen flowering and crocuses popping up. Sign a new year as begun with hope for better round the corner. Although somewhat hard to believe things can only get better. No snow in the Midlands but chilly . Went to the theatre last night with my daughter for a country & western music night. First time out in a long while helped to blow the cobwebs away. Hope Scotland is not too snowed under. Have a nice weekend all.

Hi it certainly cold on the East Midlands, hope you have a good day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
Yes we have shoots popping up in our pots. It’s such a joy to see. Definitely no snow here on the South Coast. Hope you enjoyed your theatre outing and have a good weekend. Xxx😘
What a lovely post.It must b milder theres.its gale force winds here, really wild, pouring down + hills not visible for cloud..roll on spring!I'm glad u enjoyed yr theatre night.its good to blow the cobwebs away x
Good to hear you had a night out, Katie. It must have felt normality was returning at long last! Just heavy sleety showers today and still bitter, fortunately not going anywhere this weekend. It certainly sounds as though your flowers are showing milder temperatures, roll on spring. xxx🌻🌻🌻
How lovely for you Katie. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your daughter. We all need for the cobwebs to be blown away. Do lovely seeing daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses popping through. I suppose people living further south are more luckier. Have a lovely evening and a wonderful Sunday. X
Hi Katie,
We expect snow in Tokyo from Thursday onwards and we are so bad with snow here. Everything slows right down and everyone panic buys. 😳 Including me because I won't go out in it. 😞 The country western night sounds like fun. I'm so glad you got to go out for some fun. Much love to you. xx
P.S. my mum had to go in to A and E for a bad gut pain. She got there at four pm and didn't leave till two am. But she didn't complain she just said they did their best and brought the patients tea and biscuits at 2am. She also refuses to say what the doctor said to her. 😔 I am at my wit's end.
Sadly Cas some mums don't tell thier family or freinds . I heard that one man had been in a certain place for 24hrs and he was seriously ill. A&E can take for ever some of the other units are sharing the load. But have to admit some A&E could be dealt with at GPs but they are over loaded too, try not to worry too much but that's easier said than done. Emergency services have become chaotic here. In my local area people are asking for private doctors names , but not everyone can afford this but think it might be the future outlook just like other countries. Take care in the snow , only rain here so far but that's just middle England. I always stay stocked up in case of illness. Enjoyed the chat have a nice Sundayxx
Yes same here in Wales Katie. No snow but gale force winds last night. Milder and calmer today. Cant wait for the warmer weather as the cold and wind is not good for me. Enjoy your Sunday xxSheila 💕🌾🍂🌱🌻
That was good to read Katie. Perhaps we humans could learn more from the seasons.😃
Glad you had a wonderful time at the theatre Katie.
Spring is round the corner Katie and I can see that in my garden, little heads poking up from the soil. I really cant wait, this weather is horrid and I am beginning to hate the rain, its so depressing. I really need to get in the garden and cut down the dead heads which should have been done in September and I need to do so many jobs in the house but cant motivate myself when its so dark and dull. So glad you managed to get out and enjoy yourself its good for the soul x
Hi Izb1, my gardens the same lots of wet winter leaves need clearing a plant at the back needs dead heading and my lawn is a golden brown with splashes of green in need of strimming and cutting . Both my tools broke last summer so it never had a last cut in Autumn and I expected to move so did not buy any new tools. Don't know what to do about it now, but I am sure I will find a solution in the coming weeks.
Thank you for sharing, your post has really cheered me up!
It has just been such a long and mizzy winter so far, I just want a little bit more freedom and want to enjoy taking in some slightly warmer air than the chilly mornings we had here in London last week!
Don't mind a nice crisp Winter morning with that glorious winter sunshine but it just hasn't been like that.
Good for you going out and having some fun, how lovely to hear😍
Anyway, roll on Spring🌷😊
