Sleep issues
I am always tired too, I think it goes hand in hand with lung disease. I think a lower lung function first thing in a morning is quite usual. Respiration is much more shallow during the night and mucus builds up then too. Once that is cleared in a morning and breathing becomes easier it follows that lung function improves to some extent.
I have bronchiectasis and tend to fall asleep in the daytime. I think it goes with the territory.
Have you been assessed for sleep apnoea?
I have ILD and feel so tired it's like all of a sudden my energy runs out and I have to lay down sleep for an hour then it's like I'm recharged thus happens at least 3 times a day and when I retire to bed I sleep right through like a log I've had blood tests ect but they tell me it's just par for the course with lung disease and have to put up with it
I too suffer from copd fatigue. I think we just have to learn to plan our time remembering that energy is a precious resource. I've just ordered a new, lighter weight, duvet as we were too hot. I don't know if it's a lung disease 'thing'.
