Hi Don youβre so clever with your poems, make us smile, and think of days gone by, Even growing up during war and afterwards, still had pressies. Thank you for cheering me up!
Those were the days. The excitement of the crinkling sound of mum's old laddered stocking at the end of the bed full of surprises. Always a Jaffa orange and an apple in the toe. I still remember the joy of finding a plastic pretend lipstick- it's probably still out there somewhere.
The thought of having a possible heart attack after employing a sex toy is like slipping in the shower and realizing they're going to find you naked! Yikes! Thanks for the giggle, Don!π
I used to love my Xmas stocking especially the chocolate pennies. The main present was always something I needed (like a winter coat, or new shoes), but well appreciated. Poor Gran used to get one of those selections of smelly bath salts (a cube shape). When she died I found about 10 years worth in her clothes drawers, to make the clothes smell nice.
