That would be “She Loves You” by The Beatles.
Great to hear you’re feeling good!
great record ! ....i wasnt even born in the year that song came out 1962 , sadly !!! , i was born in 1966
Glad all over by the Dave Clark Five .
You stood in a booth in the shop to listen to it first ….6/8 I think it cost. Saved up my pocket money.
And I still have it , along with a selection of 60s LPs . No record player now though.
I remember when I went back to work, treating myself to a second hand jukebox 45 of Drive by the Carr’s . With a plastic insert.
Showing my age now.
Glad the pills are working for you, and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Glad you’re feeling better cappy. I have to say the same as Hanne. I was so excited at the time. Xxx💜
A Small Faces LP, shared with my friend. We took turns at having it. Can't remember the name of the album and can't check as she claimed ownership when she left school before me and I never saw it again 😕
Every picture tells a story Lp Rod Stewart 1971
And The Banner Man blue mink single1972
We had our first record player in 1972 it had a needle that you had to flip over to use on either a single or Lp record😂
Later we had a posh long cabinet that stored records as well as the player ( we had more than 2 records then) there were 3 speeds on it as I recall.
The Osmonds Crazy horses. Have a lovely day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
Im not sure of 1st one, probably a David Cassidy.ive still got my records and a turntable x
Glad you are having a good day. Millie Small singing My Boy Lollipop, my Mother commented that the record label must be asking their African American girls to wear wigs, or straighten their hair and that we would be nearer equality when hair could be worn as people wanted, I understood when I saw a picture of Bob Marley.
I was a big fan of Radio Caroline & I think that’s where I first heard Millie!
Cannot remember my first bought record, My portable record player used Needles in a box that you could sharpen,Oh I feel 100 years old saying that.LOL. Rose x
The letter, Box Tops
Cliff Richard's 'Living Doll' - purchased from British Homes Stores in about 1959, think its still in a cupboard - somewhere!
By the time vinyl came out I'd stopped buying records but I know my first platter was Cumberland Gap by Lonnie Donegan.
Elvis Presley... Heartbreak Hotel
Peter Sellers 'Any Old Iron' and Burl Ives 'Davy Crocket'
Glad to hear that you are feeling better cappy1966. I think my first record was You got a friend by Carole King x
Good to hear all is OK now. Tony Bennett I wanna be around (LP) - I still love every song on it.
My fair lady
We went to Littlewoods store on Argyle St. Glasgow our parents had bought us a record player for Christmas and mam was buying us our first record. We wanted to get Elvis but this cheeky man said she should buy A Scottish Soldier by Andy Stewart. He said we would never hear such a great song! No guesses which one she bought!
It was a shame wasn't it when the littlewoods shops shut down!
Years ago when I was 21 I got offered a temporary Christmas job at the old littlewoods shop in Cardiff and also a full time permanent job as well and took the permanent job so one day I was in the city centre and had called into littlewoods and had seen the manager personally to thank her for the offer but I wouldn't be taking it as I had been offered a permanent job and she had shook my hand and had thanked me for my courtesy in letting her know.
Little Children by Billy J Kraimer. First LP was The Court of the Crimson King by KIng Crimson.
You weren't alive when I bought my first record either! It was Bye Bye Love, by the Everley Brothers .Glad you are feeling better.
