I have tried several times to unsubscribe from this site. Could someone tell me how to do it please?

Look to the top right of the page where you press 'write' to put up a post. To the left of that is a box with a tick in it if you have joined a forum. Click on that box and the tick should disappear indicating that you have left the forum. You should get a message confirming this.

I have to say I've left two of the forums on healthunlocked during the last couple of years because of the hassle and depressive state on them, but I've never had a message confirming my notice to leave. This in fact takes us back to events of two or three weeks ago when a certain person was supposed to have left (not even through their own doing) but was still able to access certain facilities on this forum, and that indeed caused such a lot of misunderstanding on here. I would presume our poster of above now known as 'hidden', is in the same boat of half in and half out! This is not good and would seem to bear out the thinking that if you are not completely out, what information is still be held and by whom? A software problem me thinks!

If I have have left a forum Ann I have always received a PM confirmation.

I've always had a pm to acknowledge membership but never a pm to acknowledge cancellation. I've just looked back through all my pm s and can see that I'm not mistaken. It is indeed strange that the poster is coming up 'hidden' when clearly it's only the posters username is hidden! I would hazard a guess that both the poster and I have incorrectly filled out something, but that still doesn't account for the same thing happening to our friend recently when they were not accorded the luxury of deciding to leave! Perhaps it would be best for the poster to directly address healthunlocked to have this sorted out once and for all.

The poster didn't go hidden until after I replied to the query.

You would be hard pressed to find somebody on here that can advise on how to unsubscribe. I am not. If you receive a notification email there is a link to unsubscribe at the bottom in the small print. All the best
