Hi Bertie-11,

I've not long successfully completed this pip reassessment. I got advice from Benefits and Work that helped me.

It is not sufficient to just put no change unfortunately. You really have to treat it as carefully as you did your initial form and make sure you include all relevant information.

On the answers where I had no change, I wrote something along the lines of "There is no change with...., unfortunately I am still unable to......., because......"

For your information, my award was increased. It is really worthwhile that you put as much effort into the new form as the old one. Even if you feel like you are repeating yourself.

It is worthwhile remembering that the person who is reading your form, probably won't read the old one!

I hope this helps somewhat, I know it is a trial, it took me about 3 weeks!

All the best,

InkyT

Have to agree with InkyTrickle and advise you to fill the form in in as much detail as you did last time.

Thanks for your reply

I think repeat your answers as in your previous assessment.

I think just putting no change will not help your application.

Treat it as a new application and give as much detail and proof as possible. I always type my forms which allows me to copy and paste. I then add changes as required. I have copies of all applications.

I used to work for DWP and am familiar with this type of form completion. It is important to treat it as a new claim. When you’ve submitted it the receiver should have a COMPLETE ‘picture’ of you, your health and how it affects you on a daily basis. Never complete it using your best case scenario, better to do it on your worst day. As with anything this important I’d complete a draft version, take your time, there will be lots of repetition. Complete each question in isolation then when you’re happy with it copy to the final draft. Hope this helps.

My Dad always used to complete my brother's forms then have them photocopied. (Oh the good old days before copy and paste😂) He could then use the old forms as a template, altering where necessary.

Hi Bertie,

Perhaps yo think there's no change since your last form don't that managing your condition and it probably has got worse and haven't noticed because your doing things differently. So answer each question on how you feel on your worse days as you'll probably have more of them n the future than saying "okay no change"

Keep well
