COPD and Braltus

Hello I was diagnosed with copd 12 years ago. Today I have used Braltus inhaler capsule but realised it was 3 months old and on the pack instructions it says don’t use if the bottle has been opened 60 days. I made a mistake by using this older pack. Does anyone know if I’m like to feel unwell? Thank you

I don't think that it will make you feel unwell but it is likely to be less effective than a dose that isn't out of date.

Thank you for your reply. I haven’t been unwell but it was definitely less effective and I ended up using my Ventolin inhaler much much more than usual. I’ve collected a new prescription today so won’t make that mistake again. Many thanks again.

As above. Plus strongly advise use of Pharmacist to answer medication questions, (very especially if attached to your surgery) as they will be familiar with your diagnosis & prescriptions. All the best.

Many thanks for your reply. Definitely less effective but I wasn’t unwell. New prescription collected today - all back to normal now thankfully!
