It is the first day of meteorological summer on today, it is 'game, set and match' to be the hottest day of the year so far. Stay safe, keep hydrated and no rushing around, put off today what you can do tomorrow.

I think about doing things and it's the thought that counts!

I must be the only one in our area that doesn’t appreciate the hot weather.between the lung disease, auto immune stuff and bad back,it’s a bit of a struggle.Have a relaxing day.

I only have lung disease but it is a struggle. It's already too warm in the house but fans are blowing cool air so far. Take care xx

This is interesting because I am definitely better asthma wise in the heat, in fact, I would probably choose to live abroad in a warmer climate as every time I go on holiday abroad I never need my ventilin at all, whereas here I need it the majority of days.

Hope you both manage through summer ok!

It's the emphysema that gets me Dee. So many weather conditions affect my breathing now but this current weather is one of the worst. There just seems to be no air in the air. I look at the forecast with trepidation!

Oh bless you! Must feel horrible! I obviously don’t have emphysema but know the feeling of not being able to get a good breaths worth in which I imagine is how it feels for you and some of the others a lot?

Rush? You must be joking 😁. Already had too much of this weather!

Good morning to you 2greys and thanks for the advice-specially when it could reach a sweltering 26°C. Bottled water with a slice of cucumber is particularly good for cooling down! Ultimately it's down to each one of us to act responsibly and take 15mins outside and say another 15mins indoors or in shaded area. Be sensible folks and enjoy(if you're able).🐿🌈😷

Today I went out wearing 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 tops, 2 coats and a woolly hat. With the icy wind it still felt cold. But it wasn’t raining and in fact was quite bright ☀️Same country but worlds apart. 🧤🧣

Oh dear it is very difficult to comprehend the the differences. My sister is on the north east coast at whitby and is suffering like you .I would like the happy medium.

Yesterday was a 3 coats, 3 pairs of trousers day. It seems there really is nothing between one extreme of weather or the other! ☃️☀️

Unlike some of the others, I love the heat and have been waiting for this for ages! I will be making the most of it! My breathing definitely prefers the warmer weather.
