I underwent a lengthy hospital stay due to motor neurone suspected, I don’t have named neuromuscular disorder at present neuro/respiratory team plan more nerve conduction tests also my muscle biopsy has gone onto another pathology.
My neurological investigation was to eliminate disorders under many Specialists.
I had a family member who was diagnosed with MND in 2005, advances in medicine persons are living longer with a good quality of life, research is getting better as is clinical trials.
I use NIV which help rest my muscles which are under increased load keeping my carbon dioxide levels down, conserving energy, use a wheelchair due to extreme breathlessness, however I’m independent within my home with aids to help.
Sorry you have been delivered this blow, contact the MND association for support..... they are invaluable.
