I had my hair done on Wednesday- hoorayπ- and afterwards wandered down to Braintree market where I saw the most delicious cauliflowers on sale- football sized and all fresh and white. πππI haven't had a decent cauliflower since lockdown started. I asked myself 'Can I lug that back to the car?' Decided yes- I'm so much fitter now. Ha, ha. It's slightly uphill out of the market, so it wasn't long before I was puffing and blowing. Of course I had parked on the first floor, so I had a real job to haul myself up the stairs. It was like being back in the bad old days before I got a diagnosis. By the time I got home I was shattered -and the next day. Moral1: I'm not as fit as I'd like to think. Moral 2: Cauliflowers are VERY DANGEROUS.π€£ππ€ͺ

A cauliflower was my undoing
I'd have been tempted too! Love a cauli cheese with pasta, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in it, and the delivery ones have not been that great recently :(Hope you're ok today? xx Enjoy it xx
I'm fine and so is the cauliflower which sits in the larder awaiting its fate.π§π§π§
Oh dear! I just got this vivid image flash before me of you, the cauliflower and a samurai sword! Poor cauliflower -' Was wrong place, wrong time for him, officer!'
Hope I haven't put you off eating it now. Enjoy it! You worked hard enough to get it and, yes, I know what you mean about not being able to get a decent one for a long time. I'm not a huge fan of Cauli but now I really want one - as long as it's like yours (and someone else carries it home for me.)
xx Moy
The cauliflower was humanely dispatched yesterday- and enjoyed. My cheese sauce needs working on- too thick to be right for cauliflower cheese. I'm tempted to go back to the market next week- with a trolley.
Moral3: you did very well all things considered Alberta.
I love cauliflower. Enjoy yours. Xxπβ€οΈπ
It will taste so much better knowing what you went through to get it. ππ½
Oh bless you but I bet it tasted all the better for the effort you had to put in ! x
Ooo I love π cauliflower cheese...and broccoli π₯¦ and potatoes π₯... I bet yours will taste great knowing how lovely and fresh and white it is and the effort you went to get it! Ps...eat it whilst itβs still fresh and tasty!
Yum, I use cauliflower instead of rice pasta or spuds.
They are very tempting at the moment! Enjoy it!
You will enjoy the cauliflower after all your effort to get it home. I also love cauliflower. Enjoy.ππ
π€£π€£ oh my I have vision of you lurking this cauliflower up the steps and cursing it. Steps are my undoing. Not as fit as I used to be. Take care. Enjoy your cauliflower x Anita
Steps are my undoing too. One of my last foreign holidays was to the Naples area. I found Herculaneum very hard going- down in a hole and full of steps. Pompeii was much better- flatter. Even Vesuvius was better than Herculaneum. At least it had no steps. ππππ
Oh I remember those steps ! I was relatively fit then and thought I would miss the coach back if I couldn't make it .
Glad you made it. xxx
Thanks . It was bad. Was there a warning or an alternative.? Remembered the best bits and I really enjoyed , even the gruesome skulls but I had forgotten "those steps" People stopped to help but couldn't do anything. How about you? It was shut out of my memory .!
Actually, ironically, at Herculaneum,I came to the aid of a very fragile older man who stumbled on one lot of steps. I had half expected him to fall and when he did I grabbed him from behind while a couple of big strong chaps grabbed him from in front. He ended up sitting on my lap.πππHe was determined to see Herc and Pompeii while he still could. Excitement over, back to puffing up the steps, but there was delicious Neapolitan pizza waiting up the top.π
Oh they do look so good and tempting when big and white surrounded with healthy greens I can understand your lugging one home lol. Mmmmmm Enjoy! πͺπ
Hope You Are Ok Now π€π€
Recovering thank you. I have good days and bad days, but I got a reminder that day that bronchiectasis is for life.
