Going for a private HRCT scan tomorrow....

Firstly, I wanted to thank everyone for their support on my previous posts, you guys are pretty amazing.

I found I was getting no where with my GP despite worsening symptoms. I have a referral for 8 weeks time to specialist. We are moving countries in less than 2 weeks (supposedly, if I can breathe) so I booked a HRCT as I really need some answers before we go.

I spoke with a private GP and he reassured me this is test I need to rule in and rule out a number of conditions.

Mostly concerned about restrictive lung disease due to the crackling on a deep breath, progressive breathlessness and white phlegm.

I guess I will have some answers tomorrow (the joys of private health care) and can go from there, nervous is an understatement 💕 very much hope I am over reacting and it’s something far less sinister.

I would absolutely be doing the same. Nothing is more stressful than your breathing and you need answers as fast as you can get them

There are plenty of lung conditions that are NOT sinister. Fingers crossed for something simple, eh? You need answers and it sounds like you are on the way to getting some at last. All the best, Jen. Keep us posted, won't you? Xx Moy
