Thankyou RR keeping very well as I hope you are ..It's very rare I'm home to be honest if I get up and leave at 7.30 most days I can be out until 3.30 either on the beach or in the forest somewhere..in the summer I'm in and out all day

Stans with me and we rest in between with a flask of tea lunch and Stans lunch as well 💜💙

I was just going to say the same, like a scene from War of the Worlds or something like that. Also, when I first looked at this picture on my phone I thought those were baobab trees!

Thanks Huff the pic was taken from a ground position and the spiny looking plants are ragwort that's probably missed being pulled and died off slightly..Also dont know what a baobab tree is sounds like some kind of dried date fruit 💙💜 war of the world's that was a good film

Here in Manchester the skies are leaden with snow clouds this morning and a bit foggy, we had snow yesterday, so you could be seeing strange skies due to the cold snap rolling in. Whatever the reason it makes for a good photo, very eerie x

Brrrrr hoping it dosent snow makes footing on a walk for the doggos a bit unsafe then when it turns to slush yeuch ... sometimes there is something in a pic I take that captivates my eyes for a few seconds this was one of them ...right before this it was bright blue skies then waiting 5 mins was completely black it was the motions of day turning to night so quick ...I'm going to shut up now lol you have a great day 💙

Ha! the weather can turn so quickly, but you captured it nicely. I will need sturdy boots this morning as I have to go out shopping, couldnt get a slot online. I dread having another fall so will be careful. Enjoy your day x

Izb1 I am 25 miles to west of you and the mist has now 1/2 hr later, hss gone and sun is shining with some blue sky and snow still on ground snowman still standing guard at end of drive ! Just be careful walking on icy footpaths.

Lucky you having sunshine Jaybird19, the skies are still very grey but the mist is lifting and is really cold. I made it there and back with no mishaps, thank goodness, so can now enjoy the start to the new year. We still have a few snowmen in gardens from yesterday but sadly most have lost their heads ha! Poor snowmen i spoke too soon the sun has gone now amd it has rained a little too . You know weather often changes about 11.00 when it is too bright first thing. Still can see some blue sky overhead.
