We aren't doctors and so we can't say. My guess is that as it is intermittant and you don't feel as though you have an exacerbation ( lots more sputum, change in colour, generally feeling rubbish and dull ache in the part of your lung where the damage is) it could be muscular. You need to speak to your GP.

Thanks! Yes will do an e-consult if it gets no better. 👍

I think sooner rather than later, especially if you notice the pain at the very end of a breath in or out, which can be a sign of pleurisy. I hope that you get it sorted soon.

Hope you are soon feeling better.

Hi.. Looking at your posts you're certainly going through it. I take azithromycin 3 x weekly, carbocisteine, inhale 7%saline. Just recently been taking extra VitD, vit C, zinc & N-acetylinecysteine (only 2or 3 aa week). My blood seems boosted in last test though gutted to have pseudomonas after 9 yrs. Cipro dampened it down but severe side effects.. Have you thought of phages instead of antibis. Don't know how we could get them but sound good.I'm not rushing to docs will monitor pain in side.

Take care!

Hi I start IVs tomorrow. I'm to be at hospital in the morning to have PIC line put in and have my first treatment at hospital and collect my medication for home IVs. The nurses from hospital will come and give me the medication for two weeks. I am showing pseudo in sputum. I'm very complex to treat I am only able to have IVS. I have had this pain for a few weeks and it has gradually got worse so please don't leave yours for to long. My GP has got me this urgent appointment for tomorrow. Holly 🤞

Hi :) I’m prone to pleurisy, usually follows or accompanies an infection for me. I get a sharp, really horrid pain when I breathe in - that’s my key sign - and I have bronchiectasis too. I always need antibiotics to clear it up and it takes a while. Do you have rescue antibiotics?

Thanks. Not really. Have augmentin but they would be no good for pseudo, would they? Think I would have to resort to iv ones.. Not good at tolerating antibis.x
