hi all .hope everyones well. i had a consultants appointment last week .x ray ok .sputum came back as having strap aureus infection in lungs .so on doxicyline. was very wheezy and crackly .still am .tblood tests show eosinophils 0.4.and high white count and high neutrophil count.my question is my peak flow readings .i dont know how to read them .fev1 1litres.fvc1.6 .peak flow 240.

I’m guessing you have asthma rather than COPD?

Did the doctor say anything about your eosinophil count? I ask because my last count was 0.3 and puts me at border of referral for biologics.

Have you measured your peak flow before?

It’s a good idea to measure it before and about 10 minutes after your meds...or ventolin if you use that often, to see if it’s helping. Do you know what your personal best peak flow is?
