Repeat PET scan.

Today the PET scanner unit phoned me. Despite still not getting the Coronavirus test results. They have decided to make an appointment for me this Friday. It has now been three weeks since Sharon had her (false) positive test and common sense has prevailed after having no symptoms at all. So some good news there. So once the scan has been completed I will have to phone the Oncology Clinic to alert them to that fact and arrange another followup appointment. Talk about hard work or what, all because of a (false) positive Coronavirus test through Sharon's job. All her colleagues that were tested as positive had had no symptoms either and have been back at work for the last 10 days as well.

I am still very angry with testing service though, it has just not been good enough. Sixth day of waiting for results today, I am now thinking I will never get it at all and to be honest it will be totally useless anyway, with being way out of date. If I wasn't already immune already then I could have been infected in that time.

What is the point of a test if it cannot be accurate and results delivered promptly?

Very very poor show by the Government, the top scientists in their field, creme de la creme of Doctors and other world renowned medical people....who between them find it impossible to get the nationwide testing and fast turn around with results that as near to 99.9% certain of being correct. Imean givr this to any class at a Univetsity appropriate to their skills and I could almost guarantee a better job having been done(not to mention the extortionate cost for these highly paid advisors!). 🐿🌈

As I write this it is 4:15 pm and still not had the results through, unlikely now today. Tomorrow it will make seven days.

Move over Dido, I am sure I can do much better, as said in the Thatcher era "Gizzajob". I may not have the breath to spout the speeches anymore, but I am sure I could delegate that part.

Luckily I still have the emails on my phone, with verification code: WTCQ43Q9, plus the "Your 10-digit order ID is: 6643137695" and I still have the Barcodes for the two tests, to prove to Allied Medical that I have done my part.

Yes I know I have given MY confidential info out, but I am okay with that. Maybe, just maybe, someone in authority reads it, there is no official complaint procedure. I will not put it to my MP because he is totally useless.

I'm truely gutted for you 2greys, waiting 7 days and counting for yiuyour results is on the verge of being held to ransom under Human Rights. Sod the info you'veonly put down because you're being held waiting for no apparent reason. It would make me the same BUT I would contact my MP but then he's been really handy before, for me. Its just not right and if any of the powers that be are reading your post 🤞🙏👍, well you've laid yourself out there for everyone to see. I wish you some news asap. Take care and breathe.......don't let it bring you down to rock bottom. You just might need a Plan B ! 🐿🌈

It’s good news about getting your appointment, but not good news about not getting your test results. Like you said, by the time you get them they'll be redundant. Wishing you all the best for Friday.

Glad you have at last got the PET scan date, I hope it goes well. Age with you entirely if you have a test you need the answer quickly. My son had a covid test, which came back negative, a few weeks later he wasnt feeling too well and asked for another test. He was declined a postal one and was told to go to drive thru. He had no means to get to one, but they still said no. He is fit and well now, but he could have had it...... inefficiency everywhere!! I don't think you will get your result now.

I’m relieved you have got a date for PET scan. Testing continues to be an utter shambles .

It’s a bit of a DIY NJS, phonecalls, answering machines, taking the mobile every where, do you do t miss a call/ night mare ! Thinking of you ,

Goodness I can’t believe you haven’t got your result yet. As you say it’s completely useless now anyway. Hope the PET is positive news. It’s a good job you are able to do the liaison with all departments yourself!!!
