Reinforcing the desire for unhealthy junk food, from KHC (Kraft Heinz Company)

Kraft wants you to wake up and smell the mac and cheese.

More Americans are eating at home as the pandemic spreads across the United States, and household routines are changing. So Kraft Heinz (KHC) announced Tuesday that it will rebrand its Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Dinner along with its iconic blue box.

It's not getting a full redesign: The company is just adding the word "breakfast" — instead of dinner — to encourage Americans to start their day with neon orange cheesy noodles.

Oh yuck. My eldest spent some time in America about 20 years ago and said she'd never seen so many really fat people in her life. She reckoned the healthy food was very expensive and lived on pizza for 6 weeks. I'm afraid we're going the same way.

Yes, that's what I thought, yuck. Just for effect, imagine putting milk and sugar over it.

Put it in the fridge and call it a Mackflurry.

I'm afraid it would definitely be a MacPukey in my case. Just the thought of it......

That sounds yuck for breakfast, well, anytime really.

I think it would be fair to say some Americans have weird tastes. I will always remember being in an American supermarket and seeing squirty cheese! It wasn’t very nice.

I couldnt imagine a more disgusting breakfast or dinner. If these people are now at home why not just make something decent rather than rely on fast food, words fail me x

This is American consumer capitalism at its most logical. What the market wants the market usually gets. I guess that with Covid 19 supplying a niche market opportunity for Kraft the moral dimension of concern for health at a time when it should most concern us effectively melts like cheese on toast.
