Hi

The last couple of days I have had a burning lungs irritante feeling. I went back to work yesterday after 4 months of sheilding, I'm a postman so was out in the heat all day about 5 hours, I was also feeling more breathless than normal, so I started a course of antibiotics yesterday just incase infection was setting in, I felt better today with the breathing but again the burning sensation is still there, I have been out in the heat all day again and it's only getting hotter this week, so was wondering if it could be that causing it or something more sinister. I suffer from Bronchiectasis and was diagnosed in April this year, so still finding my feet with it. Any suggestions to what it could be would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like lung inflammation / infection to me. I would phone your doctor tomorrow and request sick certificate your doctor will advise of medication needed, drink plenty of water.

I don't think you should be working with this and the coming heat, you could end up in hospital if your are not careful. Keep in the cool and rest up.
