Tai chi online.

I've just had a call from my tai chi instructor informing me that they are starting to do heir classes live online for free, these classes will be starting in the next few weeks and a link will be provided by Microsoft. This is good news as ive become somewhat inactive over the last few months despite my best intentions to maintain my excercise tolerance and my waistline ,( which I'm losing, its now 34" and trying to rise) , for most of us its MUCH easier to not excercise, we all know the benefits and the downside to not excercising.

Hope everyone is breathing easy and having a good day. stay well

Dave x

That’s good news do you think you’ll be able to motivate yourself to be there online? I was trying to do the yoga online failed miserably - then three weeks ago visiting my daughter we walked to see her apartment she was buying she said it’s only ten minutes - oh yes good I said - well I was so out of breath and exhausted realised I’m totally unfit - so I am now walking everyday averaging 4000 steps equates to about 2 miles a day - it’s hard work but I’m feeling I have more stamina - yes easy to not do anything but I am trying to get fitter ! Quite proud of myself realky

hi Kate, im really jealous of your 2 miles perday , im good for ten minutes then ive got to take a breather , im really motivated to get back to tai chi , its a physical excercise I can do that I know won't tax me to much , im looking forward to the classes as im bored with the utube downloaded demonstration classes, keep up the good work

I started out in 2015 with 2500 steps normal baseline and wet my goal at 3000. Over time, I was able to raise that goal, and now I do 10,000 steps regularly. It took me about 3 years to get there. Sometimes I do more too, now.

So keep going, pepparuby1. If we start today, we will get far further than if we never started at all.

Omg 10k steps! 😁. I’ve actually achieved over 5k on the odd day but it killed me. At the moment my aim to do 4K at least - I suppose keeping going is the only way - my daughter said nhs advice is 10k but ofcourse no way can I do that yet! Brilliant that you’re doing that - I’ll just keep going

Just keep doing what you're doing. Maybe you'll get to what I do in the future, maybe not. Just keep moving the goal every so often, once you find you're managing to reach the goal you're on more easily.

You know what though - it’s the breathing - crikey if I walk up a slight hill I am huffing and puffing it does put me off it I didn’t live near shills I’d be ok even my house is at the top of a hill so I can’t avoid 🤷‍♀️

Mine too at home it’s manageable but the steps over the railway are definitely something of a challenge

The simplest of things ( like walking or breathing come to that ) we once took for granted and came so naturally to us became almost an enemy, some obstacle to overcome it has taken on a significance it shouldn't hold but be that as it may and it is what it is and no amount of wishing otherwise will change that for us .I intend to stay positive and try and find the humour in any situation ,at the end no one ever said " I wish I hadn't laughed as much " 🤭
