Does anybody know if severe copd qualifies for ‘face mask exemption’ onTfl

(Transport for London) ?

Once again the guidelines on the TfL website are as clear as mud !

Many thanks

If you have difficulty breathing anyway then a mask won’t help. Can you carry something with you to show any exemption? Wishing you well. Xxxx

Hi

Yes there is a downloadable ‘card’ however it is a bit (very) vague,

Happily and inconveniently for me I look like I can run marathons. Even new doctors do a double take, this makes it very difficult using priority seating 😐

plainly laid out here: healthunlocked.com/blf/post...

if you read the entire page link.

The exempt categories if you don't want to read the full article include:

1. Disabled People

2. Those with health conditions (including everyone with lung disease. The severity is not relevant).

I hope this is clearer now. x

If you cannot breathe with a mask on then don't wear one is how I view it

Hi. Most people aren't educated in different lung diseases or understand them and it's also personal information so it'll be a 'one size fits all' card. P xx
