Stopped Progression of CHP without steroids.

Disease Detection

It started with bit discomfort in chest once started Gym in March 2017. GP/Specialist suspected heart issue but all heart test (ECG, Treadmill Test and CTCA Test) came normal. Health wise I had not a big issue but started feeling sleepy, exhausted and breathless while doing more exertion. Accidentally in CTCA report, doctors found fibrosis of lung and referred to the chest clinic where done more testing X-Ray, CT scan, Broncho scopy and at last Lung Biopsy. After all that effort, it was not fully conclusive but the biopsy was suggestive of Chronic Hypersensitive Pneumonitis or might change to fibrosis in time. They did not find any apparent trigger or reason for CPH. We also did a mold check in house that came negative. Meantime, Lung function test (TLCO) declined to 58 in 6 months. After biopsy result, I went for a second opinion and both hospitals suggested starting steroid. Doctors were predicting 2.5 to 5 years and no remedy to cure or stop progress, only increase life span and better life quality.

My mother had fibrosis and she died before 20 years for the same reason so I was aware of steroids side effect in lung disease. Before the starting of steroid, I tried to confirm with the doctors that steroids stops progression or just help symptomatically. I did not find a satisfactory answer and got information from many places that it can reduce symptoms but cannot stop progressing disease. Doctors told me that they would tapper steroid and convert to immune-suppressant after some time but those medicines have their own side effects.

I decided to make research for alternative treatments, therapy or diets and started working in all possible areas.

Possible reason for CHP in my case could be below.

*) Mold

*) Some weather impurities (There was no birds around me or my house)

*) GRED that might up flow and effect the lungs

*) Some Parasites or Some unknown reasons

To Target all-possible reasons simultaneously I started all trials together because I was in lack of time.

*) Serrapeptase –80,000 IU Twice a day Empty Stomach (Very Important) as anti-scarring for reducing scars in lung.

*) Bromelain – 500mg Twice a day Empty Stomach (Very Important) as anti-inflammatory for reducing inflammation in the Lungs

*) Vitamin D – 10,000 iu twice per week. , That is very important for recovery in this kind of disease. Initially I was taking 1000 iu per day for 2 week

*) Probiotic is for gut settlement and reducing GRED

*) Installed of high quality air purifier and tried to use it maximum possible (at least all night)

*) Spinach juice twice a week as anti-oxidant

*) Pranayam - Breathing excise for 15 minute a day

*) Made my sleeping bed a bit sloppy, High at head side then leg side to reduce acid reflux coming upward.

*) Food grade Hydrogen Peroxide spray inhalation 5 puffs twice a day for 6 month – Now taking some times only

*) In addition, I started regular walk of 20 minute and one-day gym due to pre-diabetic condition to reduce sugar level in blood. Now I am not pre-diabetic.

Below are the things I started but stopped due to side effects

*) CBD - done reaction, raised my blood pressure so stopped.

*) L-Glutamine - become heavy on stomach so stopped

Finally

I was monitoring situation, first LFT every 3 month then every 6 month. As the UK has no policy to do CT scan, I got it done from other country every year to check the situation.

After all this started, with in 6 month the Lung function test (TLCO) started improving from 58 and coming back to normal and reached 74. Now all feelings of illness, sleepiness and breathlessness gone. Breathing is improved. We have LFT every 6 months now to monitor. Doctors want to close my case (Which I do not want because I want to monitor situation continuously).

For the last one and half Years, I am perfectly fine, not having any feeling of illness or not any discomfort. I am writing this so someone can get help from my experience. Let me know if need any info/help.

Hi hsoni30

Where did you get the Food grade Hydrogen Peroxide spray?

I have read about someone curing their COPD with Hydrogen Peroxide, Colloidal Silver, and Serrapeptase.

I was diagnosed with COPD back in November, but not told how severe it is.

I have been using Serrapeptase for a while and started using lungwort complex after I had what I believe to have been the Covid-19 virus at the start of lockdown in March; I wasn't tested but had all of the symptoms other than losing the sense of taste and smell; not actually sure I am fully recovered!

My Dr has changed my inhaler to Spiolto Respimat as the Relvar wasn't working, he is also supposed to be referring me to cardiology due to palpitations causing more shortness of breath and feeling faint.

I have also been suffering from severe chest pain; Dr reckoned it is Costochondritis, but as it's been going on for months and I've already been through 2 large tubes of Volterol, which the Dr prescribed, I'm not convinced; I'm popping pain killers like sweeties, and nothing is taking the pain away. On a scale of 1-10, when the pain killers work, it's probably around 5 or 6, when the pain killers ware off, it's more like 11!

I have to be careful in what pain killers I can take in case of any interaction with the Adizem I was prescribed for the palpitations.

Sorry about the long story; but after reading your story, and the previous story about someone curing their COPD, I was wondering where you got the Food grade Hydrogen Peroxide spray in the UK, and if there might be anything else which you used that may help me?

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks

Hi Lesleyr14

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (3%) is easily available on internet (ex ebay.co.uk) generally it comes in white Opaque bottle. You will also need Spray Glass Bottle to spray it. If you search internet for “Empty Refillable Pump Spray Dark Glass Bottle 50ml” you will get that.

Below is similar product link.

ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydrogen-Per...

ebay.co.uk/itm/50ml-Empty-S...

I had also symptoms like COVID (or other virus) infection (Chill, Mild Temperature etc.) in March but was never tested. I started Salt Gargle, Steam Inhalation and Hydrogen Peroxide pray and it cleared.

I had frequent chest pain and palpitations. It reduced by treatment of CHP but never gone. Recently I started Gluten free diet that definitely recovered me from chest pain. I can see clear effect when I start Gluten food again chest pain comes back and once I stop it goes with in 3-4 days.

I do not remember any other thing I used (it is already big list I mentioned).

COPD is Obstructive Pulmonary disease while CHP is restrictive pulmonary disease. Both have different pattern of damage. CHP spreads damage mostly because of Inflammation (for several reason). COPD has many sub type. Ask your doctor that what type of COPD you have, that might help you more in finding alternate treatment.

By primary findings, I can see Costochondritis causes by inflammation and gluten can effect it. Many auto Immune disease are biological and allopathy do not have any treatment for that but other streams may explain it better.

I can see you have many similar issues like those that I passed thru. All the treatment I tried have not apparent side effect so it is better to try. I suggest specially try Gluten free diet to see effect. Serrapeptase and Bromelain have anti-inflammatory and painkiller effect that should also help you. Make sure you take it empty stomach otherwise; it will not effect as intended and just give digestion benefit.

Let me know require any help any time.

Regards

Thank you for posting the links.

I'm not sure what CHP is!

I complained to my GP about palpitations just after a severe chest infection at Christmas.

I had a halter monitor for 7 days in February, then an Echo at the beginning of March.

On 18th March the palpitations were so bad that I thought I was going to have a heart attack, so we called the ambulance.

The paramedics said my ECG was abnormal and set off to take me to the hospital; on the way they sent my ECG to the hospital, then spoke to a cardiologist; he told them they already knew about the abnormal EGC, which was news to me as no one had discussed the test results! So I was taken home again and told to self isolate for 7 days.

I managed to speak to my GP on Friday 20th March; he then informed me that I have Left Bundle Branch Block, and apparently, they had discovered a partial block 10 years ago! This was news to me, no one had said anything about this before! I was then prescribed Adizem.

Monday the 23rd was when I started with the high temperature and other COVID-19 symptoms; GP prescribed antibiotics and steroids in case it was a COPD flare-up, but I had to get another course of these the following week; I also used a nebulizer to help with the breathing.

It was nearly 2 weeks before I started feeling a bit better, but I still don't feel quite right!

I had previously complained to my GP about chest pain about 2 years ago, but they just sent me away saying it was musculoskeletal; I complained a year later and the same thing happened.

Following my recent virus recovery, I complained again as the pains were getting worse; GP said it was inflammation of the rib cartilage and prescribed volterol, and said that if I still had the pain once lock-down is lifted I could get an injection; I have now gone through 2 tubes and still have the pain, but I am a bit reluctant to have an injection since I haven't had an x-ray or anything else to confirm that it is just inflammation that is not going away, and nothing more serious!

I spoke to my GP a couple of weeks ago as the palpitations were getting more severe, and making me feel very faint; he finally told me that the halter monitor back in February had recorded palpitation symptoms 87 times, and said he would now refer me to cardiology; if the monitor recorded 87 times, why he didn't do a referral in February is beyond me!

I have been taking Serrapeptase on an empty stomach, for a few months but there doesn't seem to be any improvements with the chest pain, but maybe it has helped with the lungs along with lungwort complex capsules.

I will have a look for Bromelain and or Papain, and see if that might help with the pain; that is if it is what my GP says it is!

Hi Lesley I am just wondering whether you have tried the Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide Spray.

Bromelain is an enzyme from from pineapples and helps digestion, as does papain from papaya fruits. You can get these in tablets from health food shops - usually the more expensive the better. I used to get them for my late husband Bob who had severe COPD. They helped him digest his meals and so reduced GERD.

Main purpose to use Bromelain (or Papain) in my case was its anti-inflammatory effect. It will work as anti-inflammatory if taken empty stomach. Bromelain and papain also can use for digestive help if taken after meal. Same thing with Serrapeptase it is anti-scarring while taken before food or give digestive help if taken after food.

Hi

hope you dont mind if i ask a few questions regarding the serrapeptase and bromelain, after reading your post i have ordered some as i am willing to give anything a try but why do you say take them on an empty stomach as the manufacturers say take with food also what time of day would you take them?

is there any particular probiotic you use as there are hundreads out there?

and do you think making my own spinach juice up from spinach powder is as good as the juice is very expensive?

Thanks

Robert

Hi Robert,When you use serrapeptice and bromalain after food it helps digestion while when we use empty stomach it gives antiscarring and anti-imflamatery effect. I was taking 30 minit to 1 hour before lunch and dinner.

Probiotic you can use any it is just good becteria to give digestive help and reduce GRED. i was using probilion from Lindens. I will add link below.

Yes making spinich from row sponich leaf is best thing i was doing same. You can buy spinich from any super market and make juice in mixer.

I got best result and doctors also surprised. Hope you will get result soon.

By the way I am just wondering whether you are on oxygen therapy too. My CHP has deteriorated so rapidly and I have been told that the oxygen flow will have to be increased because it is not reaching the oxygen in my blood. It looks like I can die from organ failure and I am wondering now whether I have only got months to live. I hope I can prolong my life with your lust of enzymes and other things you have suggested. My oxygen level goes down rapidly when exerting. It went down to 74. Reason why the physiotherapist is increasing the oxygen flow. Everything is happening so quickly in ny case. Take care

HiI am not on oxygen therapy. Once oxygen is below certain level they give extra oxygen. It will help you for making day to day life easy.

Hi Hsoni I would be very grateful if you could explain to me how you use the Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. Do you spray it in your food? I am using all the things you sent me in your list but I have no idea how to use the Peroxide. You mentioned 5 puffs twice a day and I assumed as a nasal spray. Did you use it as a nasal spray? Can anybody help on how to use it please. Thanks. Bought it already but still not quite clear how to use it.

Hi LesleyDid you ever use the aFood Grade Hydrogen Peroxide Spray inhalation. You are supposed to use 5 puffs twice a day but I am not too sure how to take it. Is it through the mouth or nostril? Please can you resolve the issue. My lungs are really in a very bad way now. Oxygen level has been increased and I am desperate to give anything a go. Future sounds very bleak and the deterioration has been so rapid. Diagnosed with Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis and bronchiolitis in July 2020 and the deterioration has been very rapid thanks to chemo and radiotherapy. Got to live with the fonsequences now. Take care and have a peaceful Sunday.
