Nose Dripping

hi all,

just wondered if anyone has the same problem. I am on liquid oxygen and refill small flasks that last up to 4 x hours from a larger tank replaced every couple of weeks. My question is that as soon as I put on my backpack with the flask and put on my cannula my nose starts dripping especially when I bend down or look down. I like gardening and is good therapy when you are shielded, but makes it all rather tedious when you get through a tissue every few minutes. Does anyone else suffer from this and have they found a remedy?

Hi,i don't use liquid oxygen, just normal oxygen supplied by either my concentrator or portable concentrator,i have found my nose drips all the time, more so when the flow rate is increased or i am exerting myself,i put it down to the temperature effect of the faster flowing continuous stream of oxygen?i am probably wrong as i didn't do much in the way of science at school. :)and i am sorry as yet i haven't found a solution to this annoying problem/inconvenience.

Hoping someone has something more useful to say.

Ski's and Scruff's :)

I have the same problems with my oxygen concentrator, but since taking antihistamine for hayfever my nose has stopped dropping. Don't know if it has anything to do with the tablets. Have a great day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈

I have the same problem and have not yet found a solution except to make sure I always have a tissue handy!

Yes all the time when moving around and doing things with my LOX on at 6 lpm. Like you a tissue gets wet very quick and now started using extra strong kitchen roll. The annoying thing when sitting down I don’t have this problem. I’ve tried nasal sprays and antihistamines but they make me more SOB. I fully understand what you are experiencing and can sometimes get quite annoyed with the problem. I wish you luck in finding a cure. If you find one that works please let me know.

Good luck
