The weather is set to much colder over the weekend with an Arctic blast continuing next week. Even here, on the South Coast it is likely to see max temps of 10°C. The Northern hills may even get some snow. So don't put the woollies away just yet as the temps rise this week.

I'm going to stop turning my heating off. Every time I do it gets cold again.

I leave mine on set to 20 degrees all year round. Saves the issue of turning it on and off especially when summer nights are cold

I’ve always though the ‘May’ in the saying refers to may, or hawthorn blossom, rather than the month. Our May blossom has been out a good few days, but it obvious hasn’t heard the forecast!

I know and I am itching to plant the beans and tomatoes in their permanent position outside but can't guarantee no frost until the end of May.

We have 18C today 20 - 22C till Saturday - 14C on Sunday then dropping to between 11 and 13C for Mon, Tues, Wednesday.
