Skin problems

Hi, I'm wondering what could be causing my skin to be dry, flaky & peeling all over, I'm thinking maybe I'm lacking in some Vitamin. This time of year it is embarrassing because wearing a T shirt or skirt it looks unsightly. Does anyone else have this problem please. Many thanks.

Seasonal changes, I've always experienced this.

I had a similar problem....I now use a moisturising shower wash by Aveeno...Dermexa .....not cheap so I buy it on special offer, but it’s long lasting.

I also use their moisturiser .

I have extremely dry legs - the skin just flakes off. I have been prescribed Dermol by the doctor. It can be used as a soap substitute as well as a moisturizing lotion.

I have recently started using a body exfoliator too. It has a soft brush head to use in the shower and another firmer brush head to use in between showering. It works by battery and I have found it helpful so far. I hope it will show results as I continue to use it on a regular basis.

I have had very dry skin for years, it is like a tiny snowfall around me.

I now use Aveeno skin repair lotion.

But was also advised to increase healthy oils in my diet, including omega 3. So olive oil, salmon, avocado, almond butter.

Also beta carotene and vitamin E. Beta carotene is in carrots, spinach, dried apricots.

Vitamin E in nuts, seeds, eggs.

Vitamin D may be helpful too as many are deficient in this.

If you like taking baths there are some bath oils and lotions, E45 and Aveeno amongst others make those, you just soak in them. Hope that helps.

Take care and keep safe. 🌷

A Problem when all the meds that give side affects. I drink Lots of Water, Use Deep Body Creams without Parrafin as I'm on Oxygen, I use Sudocrem on my Elbows along with Savlon. Have always taken Vitamins,(Omega 3,Vit C, Evening Primrose, Calcium,) even before the COPD Diagnosis. So I Rattle a Lot. Conclusion: Not enough Sun, Long Winters, Staying Isolated indoors. Hope everyone finds their own Dry Skin Solution, We have to Try. Stay Safe & Happy. XXX C

My skin is also very dry I think inhalers don’t help plus spending too much time indoors. I use a spray oil on wet skin after a shower then olive oil cream after getting dry. It’s not expensive

Xpel Body Care Olive Oil Cream 500ml

around £3
