AND THE PEOPLE STAYEDHOME.

– Written by Kitty O’Meara, inspired perhaps by an Italian poem by Irene Vella (whose immuno-depressed husband has been ill during this period of Coronavirus). Definitely not written by Kathleen O’Meara in 1869 after the Great Starvation in Ireland as is currantly being purported.

And the people stayed home.

And read books and listened, and rested and exercised,

and made art and played games,

and learned new ways of being and were still.

And listened more deeply.

Some meditated, some prayed, some danced.

Some met their shadows.

And the people began to think differently.

And the people healed.

And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways the earth began to heal.

And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again,

they grieved their losses, and made new choices,

and dreamed new images,

and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully,

as they had been healed.

It's comforting knowing one day we will be given the all clear and we will be free to leave our homes .......and like in the poem we can make new choices too and if we make the right choice the Earth will stay healthy and so will we. 🙏

Oh that’s just so great. It’s 4:30am at my house an I’m watching news how all of this “ staying home” right now is helping our whole global climate thing somehow and maybe this is a lesson to take better care of what we have. Nice thoughts always appreciated thanks- stay positive stay well
