Registering for Support - vulnerable

gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel.... There was an alteration to this guidance. It seems you Register for Support whether you have received a letter or not. Then phone your Dr. It is worth a bash. I read on uk.Gov site that Drs have now been to instructed to register newly vulnerable patients diagnosed eg this week with affect from 6 April. I haven’t received a letter but did get a text. I have registered and spoken to my Dr who said I should be shielded. The guidance seems to be updating often. This one came out on Monday last. Good luck

Someone rung me today. Just checking I had my letter from gps etc. No questions asked. Just said gov.uk will make sure our local council will contact me about support. So just waiting for the call.

That’s good. Presumably you don’t need the letter for job purposes.

That guidance has been in the public domain for several days, but Gp's and their practice manager had chosen to ignore it until they started to get bombarded with phone calls from people affected, maybe from Monday thy will start doing what they have been told to do?

This is an updated version. Issued on Monday

The original version told Gp's to update the list on a weekly basis commencing 06/04 but Nhs and PHE are still insisting that their failed databases are still going to do the selection, until they change and GP's are allowed immediate access nothing will change.
