what to do
Personally I would give them a ring. My mother had a number of appointments which have now been cancelled until a later date.
No-one can actually tell you what to do, we don’t have that authority. However, I cannot see any problem with giving the Eye Clinic a phone call. What you have experienced with your eye is pretty serious stuff, so it won’t do any harm to ring later on. I hope they can help you solve this dilemma!!!
As others have said r0yalalbert give them a ring and explain your situation. They should be able to advise you.
Stay safe xxxxx
Look on your paperwork to find the department phone number to give them a ring.
Perhaps you could give the eye clinic a ring .
I think you need to check with the experts.
Stay safe
You know the layout of the out patients department, are you going to have to pass a lot of waiting areas for other clinics?is it possible to speak with your clinic and see if you can get appointment with minimal contact/waiting time due to your vulnerability? As you said you know that the appointment hasn't been cancelled but speak to them and see what they advise X keep well .
Personally I would still go but thats just me. how are you getting thear if its in your car or hospital transport you should be fine. Not public transport. Remember to distance yourself from others. Don't touch your face. Wash/ clean your hands as often as possible. When you get home put clothes straight in the wash and have a wash, bath or shower. But ultimately it is your choice. Stay well x
My daughter did this after spending afternoon at hospital a few days ago, as you say, all clothes in washing machine , then long hot bath or shower. I feel you cant be too careful with your eyes.
I would still go, just wear a mask and gloves, or a scarf if you have no mask and stay away from people as much as you can . It sounds like you need the injection x
