Covid 19 - Soap works better than gel/sanitizer.

Hi all.

The Gov't think they have the best brains to rely on for info in the fight against cov 19;

And we may have - but if we don't deliver their advise clearly, it isn't understood and is not acted on:

You know what makes me think we've already screwed up?

As soon as Boris first said wash your hands with soap and water, whilst the gov knew it, he didn't emphasize that soap is best...leaving most of the nation unclear & still using pumps of hand gel.

How do I know? Because the shelves emptied of gel and sanitizer.. but toilet soap sat on the shelf... And generally is still on the shelf... But maybe it won't be for long:

I found sanitizer only usefull when i left the house 👐 soap and water whenever avalable

Overuse of santiser is not good for the skin, it can dry it out, as Sharon has found out from constant use in the nursing home, causing cracking of the skin.

People here knew it alright, my son was in Boots the other day and many were fighting over the soap! Boots have now restricted customers to one at a time. Not a very big shop, not like some.
