For now, Boots stores remain open, but there are some changes for customers. Boots said: "In these unprecedented times, our stores are changing their opening hours as they see necessary. We are working hard to reflect these changes as quickly as possible on our store locator but please be aware, information may not be accurate.
Please note, you may be asked to observe social distancing, particularly during busy periods, to try and limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)."

Its already pretty much deserted everywhere, London never seen the streets so empty (on news channels)
There would be more people about locally if it weren't for the idiot panic buyers clearing the supermarket shelves. Although I think everyone has been advised to isolate and distance for 12 weeks now, (even in good health folk).
Are these all permanent closures as with Laura Ashley.
There will only be garden centres left soon - I love a good garden centre but hate to lose all these high street shops. Woolworths, BHS, Littlewoods, Richards. As you say 2g ‘It’s life Jim, but not as we know it. Crikey they have just built a huge posh shopping quarter around the brand new store of John Lewis in our city. They did a dig in what used to be the old car park to the markets before JL was built and found young remains, most with ‘cotton lung’. They found there used to be a mill at the end of what was then a long road and most of the kids worked in there. They also had head fractures and broken bones due to cruel overseers beating them. The tv prgramme was very interesting.
Speak of the devil -I have just had an email from John Lewis to say the closure is temporary and staff will be re-deployed to help Waitrose during the corona situation.
