Hi everyone, well I tried to stock up on my inhalers but my GP is not having any of it, I wouldn't mind but the one I wanted to get in advance, only lasts for 30 days. It's nice to see my GP is concerned about me having to keep going out for my repeat prescription.
Then when I did go to the chemist for my prescription I had to queue up outside, so no point in self-isolating.

I agree one extra inhaler in reserve is a good idea, but otherwise it’s good GPs are rationing. If everyone orders too many meds we could run out. I wish the supermarkets would ration delivery slots “you had one last week, you can’t order again for another week.” Great idea!
I signed up to the delivery service today. Mind I ordered on Monday but have only got half of my script this morning. I was promised the rest would arrive this afternoon? Obviously there must be supply issues going on already.
My GP wanted me to have two for a couple of reasons. First being if I get a chest Infection I always need to use more of my inhaler. Secondly the practice is quite small, if one member of staff is infected then she cannot see how they would staff it. At the time and we still do not know the answer to this who would take over in this event.
I believe that the government have advised GPs not to prescribe extra supplies of medication. I have never been able to obtain more than one months supply unless I was going on holiday which I won't be doing this year obviously. I have just changed to a local chemist who does provide a delivery service but it does concern me what will happen if that has to close because of the virus, even if temporarily. So many unknowns at present.
My chemist will not allow me to pick up .my meds now. They are sent to a central hub who send me a text to say when they are going to be delivered t me
