My place in the queue at Morrison's at 10 am this morning!! Every queue was the length of the store.I have never in my life seen anything like it.A few people were wearing heavy duty masks! I didn;t get quite a few of the things I went for. The only thing on the tinned meat shelf was a lonely tin of ox tongue! No loo rolls, handwash ,soap, antiseptic wipes, hand gel...etc etc.The freezers were also emptying rapidly. Pleas to not panic buy are going unheeded! I e mailed the manager to say a big thank you to the staff, they were tried to the limit this morning. One girl was disinfecting all the basket handles etc.All were calm, helpful and patient..How they get to the end of the day without smacking a few people round the head,I don't know!! My self isolation kit includes a brand new TV,a bottle of Grouse and 8 cans of "Old Speckled Hen" !!
ps My family have gone absolutely mad and told me off in no uncertain terms.!!! I realise that I have put myself into unnecessary danger but It was too late when I realised the extent of the problem,,I was already in the thick of it!

Sensible purchases but you may need that missing toilet roll after quaffing 8 cans of "old speckled hen" and a rather risky venture for someone in they are in the at risk group, hopefully you have survived unscathed and get to finish the Old grouse of too.
It's disgusting the way people are behaving selfish isn't in it. There are people who are elderly and those that are vunerable who can't get to the shops, are these selfish people thinking of those? Sorry about the rant it's just how I feel. Hope you have a good day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
Most stores in my locations are limiting 2 of any 1 item. all stores should be doing this until the idiots stop panic buying, when it stops then we will be able to shop as usual and it won't even impact on people getting home deliveries as it is doing now. People who can't get out and need to stay safe not go to busy supermarkets still unable to get food.
I cannot get out, and cannot get eggs, I hope, that as Sainsburys are now limiting items, that my next weeks delivery will have eggs, Carer said my Budgens next door is also out. Why would you stockpile eggs, much shorter shelf life than loo rolls
Hi Sorrelhippo if you want the eggs for baking you can use alternatives. Obviously if you want eggs for eggs then a mashed banana or powdered egg replacer won't help you at all. ☹️ I hope you get them soon 🐔
It's really horrible this panic buying...but at least supermarkets putting restrictions now and having hours for elderly only shopping . It's a time of seeing the best and unfortunately the worst of people . Stay safe x
