Did anybody just watch the WHO press conference? They repeated how important testing was. TEST, TEST, TEST! But our Gov had decided to stop testing 🙈😪 XXX

Yes I saw that. I really don’t understand why we’ve stopped testing. Dr Tedros (forget his other names) stressed how vital it is, so what’s to be gained by stopping it, other than freeing up lab resources?

BJ is holding a press conference at 1645 so I’m sure he’ll be quizzed on this!

I do. It doesn't get you anywhere. If you have symptoms, isolate so you don't infect others, most people recover in a few days. Nobody insists on flu testing every year

But the stated aim is to massively slow down transmission to push & spread the peak so the nhs can be better prepared. Also this isn’t like flu cos no one has any immunity

That's exactly why you isolate yourself. After a while you aren't infectious

I despair..... I hope the government takes notice and not carry on making up their own rules at the expense of those most vulnerable 😥😥😥

I just heard on the news 💃😁👌 xxx

It’s what South Korea’s been doing & they seem to have been the most successful in slowing transmission.

They’ve also used mobile phones to track contacts, which civil liberties groups here might object to.

They had one advantage though in that the outbreak came from known members of a religious cult
