Rattling and husky wet cough
Given your description of "coughing up white jelly" I would have though that you would have been prescribed a mucus thinner, a lot of us are prescribed Carbocisteine to thin the mucus. Given the short timescale before your flight, you may not have time to go back to your GP, but perhaps you can go to your Pharmacist and purchase some "N-acetylcysteine" which will do the same job. Drinking plenty of water will also help to thin mucus.
Thinning your mucus down will make it a lot easier to get rid of, for me it is just a gentle growl to clear my throat and then swallowing it, without thinners I will get those blobs of thick jelly that are hard to shift.
Thanks 2greys for your advice funnily enough I do take NAC Which contains that ingredients you mentioned so hopefully that helps somewhat the cough sounds like I’m smoking 100 cigarettes a day it’s really weird and growly and my chest is starting to feel a bit sore but I think there’s a lot of stuff going around also thank you for your reply
