Hello Bessy 76, go and visit your Doctor honey. I don't want to scare or worry you and although your symptoms were only part of my symptoms, it is because of this only I am answering your query. Along with your symptoms above, I also had a continuous cough to begin with. When the pain in the chest and shoulders began on top of the cough I went to see my doctor who was worried that I may have had a DVT and he sent me for an X-Ray which was abnormal. Later after a lot of different tests I was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. Go and see your Doctor and put your mind at rest honey.
I had a chest xray which came back clear, thank goodness. I've got a spirometry test Tuesday so will discuss it with the nurse then. It's the type of annoying pain and the same with the pain in the front at the top of my chest with the cold feeling. I just want to get to the bottom of it now x
Thank you so much for your reply. Hope you are as well as can be!! X
I get pain in my back, always in same place intermittently over last ten years. It is usually followed by a cold a week or so later. I have mild Copd but have never had a scan. I was a smoker until i was 50. Stopped 22 years ago.
I have presumed the back
Pain is associated with some lung damage. I also have costochondritis but that is a very different pain and is always sited around the back and front ribs and sternum. Over ten years neither have ever got any worse.
I hope that helps. Try and push your doctor for a scan.
I have a pain that comes and goes behind my right shoulder blade. Sometimes it lasts for a few days other times less than a day. The first time I had it I had an X-ray which was clear and the doctor said it was muscular.
