Hi all. New to this so excuse any mistakes I make . I have been off work ill since September. Back and to to drs hospital x-rays blood tests CT scan heart monitor. The list is growing. I started with chest infection had anti bs. Pain eitherside of spine under shoulder blades continues. Heart palpatations breathlessness are other symptoms plus having costochondritis. Also severe tiredness. All in all no proper diagnosis yet. Most tests are fine. So I'm sad upset worried confused and not getting better. My sister died of pancoast tumour but she was a smoker. I suggest all sorts to GPS but they just say tests show nothing.
Does anyone have advice or opinion. All suggestions gratefully received.

Hi and welcome, you are bound to be worried you need some answers. Have you asked for a spirometry test if not you should. Try not to worry to much it won't help, but it will add to the anxiety you are feeling. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing, please try to stay positive. Have a good day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
Hi there. Thank you for your prompt response. No I've never heard of that test. I'll look into it and hopefully put it to my GP. Thank you for your good wishes.
Any abnormality such as a growth or tumour would have been picked up with your CT Scan. If cancer was suspected then you would have given a PET Scan to see if it was a malignant or benign tumour. A non tumourous cancer such as lymphoma would show up in your blood test. Stop worrying about cancer.
Thank you so much. I'm sure you are right . Your mind goes to some strange places when your confused. I'll try to calm down and hopefully get to the bottom of this mystery illness
Hi Chittchatty and welcome to the site. 2 greys has given good advise, if there were cancers they would have shown in the tests. Your pains could be down to costochondritis ask what you could be treated with to ease this, or it could all be down to recovering from the infection you have just had, this would also account for your tiredness. You dont say what type of lung disease you have. Try not to overthink what this could be, it maybe adding to your anxiety. Rest up and look after yourself and speak with your gp to make sure your infection has been treated properly and is now gone x
