We here on the east coast of Australia who have lung diseases are struggling with lots of smoke in the air from the bush fires. About 50 fires are burning day and night with tragic loss of life and property and many with lung problems having to stay indoors so not to breath in too much smoke.

Tragic fires
How awful for you all. We’ve had news coverage but can’t even imagine how dreadful it all is for those living through it. Please take care and stay safe. Xxxxx
We have bulletins on our news in the UK and it was on the news this morning that warnings have been extended and now include part of Victoria. It is a terrible situation for all those of you affected. I hope that you are able to keep safe. Thoughts and prayers with you all xx.
A Family Friend in Oz, has kept us updated on the Fires, Luckily for her & Family , They live a long way from the Fires. Lets hope & pray The Fire service can get it under Control, Very Brave Fire People. Take care every one. xxxx
How horrible! Smoke is the worst. Prayers for all affected.
Absolutely horrendous! I cannot imagine how difficult that must be to have to face. 😧
A thought also for those who are going to get smoke damaged lungs, even though they don't, and never have, smoked cigarettes.
That's right, the fires will eventually end and houses rebuilt and trees grow again. But those lungs will be damaged beyond repair. 😥
Yuck sounds 'orrible! Stay safe x
Oh I am so sorry . All the worry of the fires and then on top the smoke. These Fires must be so frightening .I find it horrible getting a bonfire lit on a fine day .
Smoke drifts my way and i beat a hasty retreat and close windows .
Can you escape indoors or is the smoke all indoors as well.
Take care
Thanks everyone for you reply’s it’s nice to see other are thinking of you
Wicked just been released from hospital with breathing problems. Smoke Moreton Island, Boonah no end in sight. Housebound now.
Praying that the bush fires will burn out quickly and no more lives lost.
We have family living about 8 miles from the nearest fire but they are still getting the smoke and have had to prepare for evacuation. I really feel for you all. xx Moy
Must be horrendous - there are no words.
I have family in Balgowlah - is that part free of the smoke?
Really a terrible situation, my thoughts are with the families that live there and the fire men having to tackle these fires, lets hope we see the end of this soon x
This is so sad and worrying. Thinking of you.
It must be hellish. I’m so sorry.
I'm so sorry to read this cupoftea4 . I have seen coverage on the news, I saw a woman run into a smouldering forest to save a poor koala. It was very upsetting just seeing that on television, so I can't imagine what it must be like going through it , going on all around you. Please know we are thinking of you over here in Japan. Take good care of yourself and I hope it gets better very soon.
Cas xx 🙋🐕
Awful. Stay safe.
