Mainly to check on his health and see how he is. He was a young man when I first saw him, now he works part-time in preparation for retirement. He promised me he wouldn't go until I'd kicked the bucket, I just need to check up on him. π
Visiting doctor tomorrow.: Mainly to... - Lung Conditions C...
Visiting doctor tomorrow.
Hope all goes ok tomorrow Don. Please let us know how your doctor is. Xxxx ππ
He will take one look at you Don and say, "how do you do it man, you are so fit " and away you will come with a clean bill of health.
Give us an update tomorrow x
Right, I've got one or two things to mention, just to make him feel needed. π
Good luck
When I started at my practice, had the lady doctor 2nd in charge, then the practice enlarged and she became boss lady. Then she left and I started seeing a lovely young lady, who just happened to be the daughter of the first one!!! Now she has gone, and no more ability to see the same doctor, more like a supermarket cheese counter.
I rarely have need to see my doctor, the serious things are dealt with at the hospital and the less serious by nursing staff. I recently lost my two oldest friends, one to bladder cancer and the other prostate cancer. I have lots of blood tests done for other reasons and I want to know if the CRP test would show up such a problem and if so is it done. I could find out by other means, but like I said I want to check my doctor is okay.
That is such an important test, i wish more surgeries would offer the pin prick, it would save so much money and time.
Brace yourself for the needle Donπππ
I'm sorry about your friends Don. xx π’
I hope the appointment goes well and everything is as it should be. Itβs always good to check up on your doctor π
Like it Don. My physio recently said I was his first patient all those years ago, I was only in my early 20βs (20 plus years ago) when they discovered the Copd. Heβs now head of the department and very keen to keep me under his wing. It is good to have someone else go on the journey with you. π
We are very lucky to be able to do that. Even my dog complains she never sees the same vet twice, she had a favourite who retired.
Make sure you give him a thorough check over Master Po and if necessary refer him on to a consultant,we can't have him pegging it before you can we . x
OK I'll borrow his stethoscope for the purpose. π
Majji runs away with the bucket - ok change that to shuffles!
Good Luck to Him & You for Tomorrow Don, Do you have your List of Questions, or will you cheer him up by just being There, Have a Lovely day. xxx

I can see right through you Don, making light of a situation. However, It's a good way of dealing with uncomfortable things and situations. Many of us do it. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope you feel you can share the outcome with us later. You know we care. Affectionately, Chrys
Have you googled C-Reactive Protein
20 yrs ago it was regarded as an indication of infection. Now it seems it might be regarded as inflammation. Could this mean possible cancer?
Your Dr probably sees you as a surrogate father! xx
I hope it goes well Don. xx π
Similar to my doctor
Good luck for tomorrow Don, I hope the doctor is feeling ok!
Go easy on your doctor Don, they are feeling the pressure these days. I see in our paper gps are to vote on scrapping home visits, they are too busy. Even more pressure on the hospitals. Love Iris x
I have never known our GP's to make Home Visits, Could do with one here for a Sick Hubby, I can't take him, as I am still being Poorly also. I just keep giving him Paracetamol & Plenty of Water, 5 Days now with Sickness Bug.
Good luck at the Doctors today.x
Good Luck today Don. XXX
Wish I could say the same each time I get settled in with a new Dr they retire ,!!!! This is my 4th one in this practice over the years " Do you think I'm getting old" π΅π» ......
Hope it goes well Don. Xxx
Hope it went as you wanted it to.
I hope all's well Don and you've recovered from your busy day of putting your doctor through his paces and keeping his mind active with your questions. It's very considerate of you to keep him on his toes, we don't want him to think he can slow down just because he's coming up to retirement.
It didnβt go well HH, on a number of counts. My doctor didnβt look as well as I hoped and Iβm wondering if there was some other reason for him reducing his working week. He confirmed I had a bad chest infection amongst other things so I rushed home to start my rescue pack. I seem to have picked up a bog standard common cold to go with it. Thank you for asking, Iβd better get on with my baked beans thing. π
Morning Don, Sorry about your Doc, More sorry that you have a Chest Infection and need to pop The Devils Tic Tacs, But they do Work, Take things very slow and stay indoors with this awful Weather. Sending gentle Hugs. xxx
I'm sorry to know your doctor wasn't looking so good. Hopefully now that he's given you a load of medications it'll make him feel better knowing that he's not the only one struggling. I really hope you start to feel better soon too. Take it easy and try to keep warm, and keep eating those beans π
I love your humour Don. Hope it goes well.
