The ancient ones.

Making pots of tea without a teabag in the pot

Putting eye drops in your eyes with glasses on you clot

Looking for your little dog when she stands behind your leg

Going to hang the washing out when you haven't got a peg

Expecting some assistance when you know they just don't care

Expecting what is due to you when you know that life's unfair

We know that it's not normal but we must not make a fuss

Not normal for the most of them but I'm afraid it is for us.

Don't forget that paper that you have already read

And that duvet cover that no longer fits the bed

That cuppa that you made hours ago forgotten going cold

All those little quirky things that mean your getting old

But hang on Don there is a sign that things are getting better

We all popped out to the box you mentioned and posted you a letter. :) x

Look after yourself. Don't let things go on too long without a trip to the doc. xx Moy

I originally titled this 'Normality', perhaps I should have left it at that to reduce the 'Ouch' factor. 😁xx

You always seem to put things that we can all relate to so well, Don! As I was reading your poem I was thinking, 'Yep, that's me' ( apart from the bit about the dog as I don't have one!) xx Moy

A bit sad though wasn't it. I'll do a funny one tomorrow to give us all a laugh. 😉

How about in the midst of a conversation there is that elusive word you just can't remember, so annoying, and hopefully someone has been following what you are saying and supplies the missing word!

Oh that is the most frustrating thing of all and can cause the most embarrassment. 😮

Very sad today, Don.

It reminds me of some of the silly things I’m always doing like putting 2 contact lenses in the same eye and wondering why I couldn’t see properly!

Take care my dear

Corin
