I think perhaps the mist is starting to clear a little following an enquiry from someone about the cards I produce. So I am printing and scoring and trimming cards and then boxing them ready for sale. Although I am still sitting on my backside for much of the time, I am being useful.
I also have been to see the heart lady and have a new regime, at least I will when I have seen my GP. Apparently my chest cavity is filling up with fluid and that is making me more breathless. I can but hope that she is right. I have put on 3 stone even though I am only eating 800 - 1000 calories per day. The new regime will hopefully deal with some of that, make me more active and consequently a bit healthier. I know nothing is a cure, but I have been seriously deflated for a while because nobody was listening to me.

It sounds as if things are looking up at last fas, and that’s great to hear. I truly hope you get all the help you need and good luck with your cards. I’m sure they are beautiful.
I'm pleased things are starting to look better for you, let's hope it stays that way. I love your cards they are beautiful. Have a good night and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
That is the worst thing when no one listens to you, it makes you feel utterly powerless. I’m very glad to know things are starting to progress. Hopefully from now on there’ll be an improvement for you. And I’m happy to know you’re making your beautiful cards 🐭Best wishes to you.
I hope you continue to get some progress with health issues. Glad you are doing your creative work, well done being so positive and productive. Look after yourself and all good wishes to you.
Well this looks like a busy little workshop Fas, and I am sure your cards will sell like hotcakes, its good to be productive. Sounds like you and the heart lady have a plan, just get your gp on board and hopefully things will settle down for you. Its terrible when people are not listening and you have to stand your ground, seems to be a common problem nowadays x
I think that is everyone’s problem that nobody listens to you. Very frustrating. Glad to hear you are feeling better and love the card making often thought I would like to do that I might look into it as I love anything like that. I used to make them by adding photo’s of the person before Moonpig only did a few but they were quite popular.
So glad that they are sorting out your breathing problems as I know how horrible it is when all of a sudden a short walk can turn out to be such an exhausting one.
I used to do handmade cards but I tend to print all my cards now. If they are my own artwork I scan them into my computer and carry the process through right up to printing, packing and selling. I do pretty much the same with the old prints. I find it quite therapeutic.
So good to see you’re managing to do your creative stuff and the cards with the greyhounds on look very nice and original. I’m a bit concerned about your weight gain which ordinarily would be good but not if you’re eating such a small amount of calories. My husband on his last trip to hospital last year was put on water tablets called Furosemide by the consultant because his chest cavity was filing up with water.
As a result he urinates a lot throughout the day. It can be a bit awkward if he’s going out but on those days he takes it in the evening. You could ask about it.
I’m doing ok after my knee replacement but still finding the knee joint painful.
I have been on the water tablets before but they were such a small dose that they did not make the weight go at all. The heart lady is definitely putting me on that tablet and also one other. She certainly feels that the extra 3 stone is fluid. I have got patches of water retention in all sorts of strange places including where I had a mastectomy. It looks very odd!! She said that we must work to try to protect my heart now so that not so much pressure is put on it.
With regard to the cards, unless I have drawn them myself, all the cards are from old prints from the 18th and 19th century. I'm not there yet, but I do feel slightly more positive.
I do hope that your knee becomes less painful soon.
So pleased on all fronts that you are feeling brighter, more creative, more productive, and importantly more recognised and listened to. The trouble is, what most of us dodgy lung buddies suffer, is so deep inside - it cant be seen from a casual glance. and I mean physically, medically, and emotionally. Good luck with your wonderful cardsxxx
Wow what a busy workshop area. Your cards look fab . Glad that you are feeling brighter in yourself and there is some hope with your medics. Take care. x
