Well over over 100 get well messages. I am afraid that I will have too make a BIG collective thank you.
I am also stunnd by the treatment I have received by the UHS despite being grossly understaffed. From death's door with sats as low as 86 and a breathing volume of just 250 ml.
I was told I will probably be discharged today, nothing short of miraculous. Many IV infusions and injections but no real choice but to accept them with grace and so obviously required Even managed a much needed shower this morning but there was no extractor very steamy and ended up needing assistance to dry my hair, my first time ever and had to swallow my pride.
Of course I have accepted multiple examinations by trainee consultants, as it is so important that they get real world experience. Thank you all once again.

Strewth 2greys I must be losing my grip. I completely missed your post followed by the hundred and more replies wishing you well. I assumed your absence was due to your sailing holiday, what is happening about that? So glad that the Grim Reaper lost his grip on you at the critical time and hope that you are soon home and comfortable again. ππ
Supposed to be goin on Saturday . But if recovery continues at this rate, then we will go with a modification that I will only be a passenger down below and maybe navigate. There is a heater below. No beer though will be a downer but the scrumptions food will still be there. Michael can skipper as an experienced sailor. A case of wait and see for a few days. If the worse happens there is a very good coastguard service.
Wow 2greys, that is a great news that you are being sent home so soon, just shows you have a good constitution, take things easy and look after yourself well, we need you here on this site x
2"G's worry not about sats in the middle eighties, they are the norm for some of us at the lower end of the lung capacity scale and if they were deaths door i should forever be walking around with a sickle on my back. However our trust friend O2 helps bring them up again.
The important thing is those nasty bugs have been attacked with a vengeance by some thankfully very efficient medicines and equally efficient Nhs staff but you know yourself you have to be vigilante for some time to come lest the nasties return, take care and take it easy for a while. x
Thats fantastic news,I wished you a speedy recovery and it came to pass I was in hospital for 9 days with my pneumonia during which I certainly could not have tolerated a shower in the incredible heat with the lack of ventolation.
So, you are on the mend and sparkley clean too...well done.
You don't need to be told this as i'm sure you already know but do take it easy, don't over do things as it will take some time to get back to your old self again xx
So Happy to see your Positive Post 2Gs, I am happy that you are recovering and will go on your Beloved Boat trip. Just Take it Easy and Breathe as You know you should. Sending my Best Wishes. XXX C.
So pleased to read you are on the mend and hope you manage to go on your Sailing Holiday. xx (Regular reader rather than a poster and read your articles with great interest).
Crikey, though, 2greys! Iβm really surprised that youβve got this far so quickly. You must be very fit. I can see your point about the warm cabin, but wrap up warm, scarf n all, for the trips to the pub, for the grub. We donβt want to lose you, though as my granny used to say, βA bit of what you fancy does you good!β
It's really good to know you're doing better. That's an amazing recovery. Your diet and exercise really seem to be paying off. I hope you'll be well enough to go on your sailing holiday, a not entirely altruistic wish on my part, as I'm really looking forward to hearing about your adventures. Keep warm and have a wonderful time β΅
So good to hear you're on the mend, but whether you're onboard or on dry land do take good care of yourself - after all, you have fans to think about nowπ¬
Wonderful news 2 greys but I am not surprised that you are making a speedy recovery. But do take care if you do go on your sailing holiday, wrap up really warm, as those Norfolk winds can be very cold. Love Carole ππ
Oh there you are, I was just thinking about how you are doing. Can't be bad if you are having real world experiences. All the very best for a speedy recovery. There is no keeping 2greys down
