Hi there, I have Bronchiectasis diagnosed 15 months ago and I am in Florida visiting my daughter and the air con is used a lot. I seem to have stopped coughing. Is this good or bad? I am a bit wary but am feeling very good! Any thoughts and opinions please? Thank you πŸ™πŸ»

Hi Jools, I have lifelong bronch. I lived in Florida for two years in the early eighties. The air conditioning was on in the house, shops etc pretty much as you are experiencing it. My chest was amazing for all of that time. I do believe that the improvement is more to do with the air quality in Florida than any effect one way or another of the air conditioning. I visit Key West usually once each year and just love the feeling of being able to take big clear breaths.

Just make sure that you feel well and make a bog effort to cough up anything which does come to your lungs. If you feel poorly, are not coughing, are breathless and have a fever you may have a lurking infection as pneumonia can do this.

From what you say I very much doubt that is the case. So enjoy the sunshine, good breathing and being with your daughter.

I am very envious.

Thank you for your reply Littlepom πŸ™πŸ» I am feeling good! I will go with the flow and see how I go. I have antibiotics with me so all is good πŸ’• Key West is definitely one of my favourite places on the planet! Lucy lived there for a couple of years and hopes to get back there soon x
