Looks yummy Vee. I love the smells of baking. I'm in the middle of making a birthday cake - made the sponge last night- I find it relaxing too even when my 4 year old granddaughter decided she wants to bake - we make dairyfree gingerbread and cupcakes- last week she decided she wanted to do her own recipe and half the ingredients of the kitchen went in however it was quite edible. x

There is something so therapeutic about baking! I love the Great British Bake Off on Channel 4! Just seeing the tent and hearing the music instantly destresses me! Only problem is,I have to eat it all!!πŸ˜€

Hi, me too, i love cooking/baking but no patience for all the fiddly decorating bit!! πŸ˜€

I made it too! By chance I was peeling a stack of Bramleys from our tree and watching This Morning on TV and I saw John Torode making it so I looked up the quantities and made it. I left out the cinnamon and nutmeg as my husband doesn't like those spices but put in a few more pieces if apple and it still tasted wonderful. I made 3 crumbles with the rest.

The recipe uses 2 Granny Smiths and 1 Bramley but I used all Bramleys and it was still nice and sweet.

Happy baking

Corin
